The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story preview video is only 10 seconds long, but it is already going viral with more than 100,000 views in about one hour since it was uploaded to the Star Wars YouTube channel. GMA touts it as the “never before seen” Rogue One trailer, coming to Good Morning America on Thursday.
The YouTube teaser video of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was uploaded to YouTube on April 6, along with a short description that let Star Wars fans know when and where to check for the fuller teaser trailer on April 7.
“Tune into Good Morning America tomorrow for the debut of the brand new teaser trailer for ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY.”
“TOMORROW ONLY ON GMA: The world premiere of the first trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.“
Checking the Good Morning America videos tab on the GMA Facebook page frequently will likely help Star Wars fans find the first look at the Rogue One trailer.
Another great location where Star Wars fans can check for the Rogue One trailer could be the ABC News YouTube channel’s video upload page, sorted by the newest videos.
The ABC News video page might also upload the Rogue One trailer first, especially since they have a Good Morning America section.
As seen in the below Twitter tweet from GMA, the Rogue One story will be featured only on Good Morning America on Thursday. There aren’t many details about what the GMA story will reveal about the next Star Wars saga, but the morning show will likely receive plenty of attention — as witnessed by the fervor the new Star Wars preview snippet of the trailer has caused online.

On Yahoo‘s GMA page, there isn’t much mention of Rogue One as of this writing; however, by Thursday, expect that fact to change. On the video page of GMA on Yahoo, there are a variety of categories of videos to view, from GMA Live videos to entertainment videos and beyond, so the Rogue One trailer could show up therein anytime.
Another good way to search for the latest Rogue One news on GMA is to search for the latest mention of “rogue” stuff on the site using Google.
The Rogue One movie isn’t set to be released in theaters until December 16, so Star Wars fans have a long wait to determine the fate of the Death Star. With a release date prior to Christmas, Rogue One could very well surpass all sorts of box office records.
“Resistance fighters band together on a daring mission to steal plans for the Empire’s Death Star.”
On social media, the Rogue One mini-trailer is causing quite the reaction among the series’ fans, even if the preview is only 10 seconds long.
“A trailer for the trailer for the prequel that comes after the prequel.”
“I love that we’re now in an age where we need teaser trailers for our movie trailers.”
As seen in the above top photo, a stormtrooper hangs out with a dog named Matilda in the foreground of a life-sized Star Wars TIE fighter. The photo was taken at the South by Southwest Film Festival. The display was a part of the advertising for the Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey documentary — a display set up by Disney.
The SXSW photo was taken on Sunday, March 13, in Austin, Texas — and the Star Wars documentary was screened at the fest.
