Jon Snow And Ygritte Together In Real Life! Kit Harington And Rose Leslie Finally Confirm Relationship

The verdict is still out whether or not Kit Harington’s Jon Snow will make a return to Game of Thrones in Season 6. While fans will have to wait to discover what becomes of Jon, one secret about Harington’s life has been unveiled. Following years of speculation that Harington and co-star Rosie Leslie had taken their on-screen relationship to real life, the two recently made it official.

According to USA Today, Harington and Leslie appeared together on the red carpet in London this past weekend in preparation for the Olivier Awards. The two shared an intimate moment during their red carpet appearance, including a quick smooch for the cameras.

Harington and Leslie played romantic interests during their time on Game of Thrones. Leslie played the part of wildling Ygritte, with whom Jon met and fell in love during his time north of the wall as part of the Night’s Watch. Unfortunately, Leslie’s character met her end during Season 5, when the wildlings launched an attack against the wall.

During their walk down the red carpet, Harington wore a stylish tuxedo that matched well with his beard and long hair. For her part, Leslie donned an elegant gold dress from the Malene Oddershede Bach collection.

Rumors of their relationship have been long standing amongst fans of the show. At its height, the two were suspected of seeing each other back in 2012, although the rumors started to die down after neither star confirmed their romance.

That being said, Vanity Fair is reporting that rumors ramped up again after images of the two sharing a kiss made their way to Twitter. The photos featured Harington and Leslie hugging and kissing each other, which naturally rekindled the romance rumors.

“My goodness! You know, we like to spread the love on our show. It’s a beautiful thing,” Emilia Clarke shared about her two co-stars. “She’s one of my best friends, so it’s good. I mean, there are worse things than being caught kissing Jon Snow!”

Although Leslie has yet to speak out on her relationship with Harington, the Game of Thrones star recently opened up about his love life during his time on The Jonathan Ross Show.

“I fell in love in Iceland. I fell in love with my co-star,” Harington said before displaying a photo of himself and Leslie. “This is Rose who plays Ygritte who I’ve met who is just the loveliest girl and she could do so much better.”

Now that their relationship is official, it will be interesting to see what happens now that their time on Game of Thrones may be at an end. Whatever ends up occurring between the two, Mashable is reporting that they have actually shared a number of adorable moments together over the years.

This includes back in 2013, when Harington and Leslie posed together with their fellow cast members during the premiere of Season 3 in Los Angeles. Then, only three days after the Los Angeles premiere, the two were spotted together on the red carpet in Seattle. While they didn’t show any outward signs of affection, it was clear that something was going on behind the scenes.

In 2014, Harington and Leslie showed up together to meet the Queen of England, who visited the set of the show during production in Belfast. Harington and Leslie stood next to each other while Her Majesty greeted the cast.

Of course, Harington and Leslie have also appeared twice during the San Diego Comic-Con. This includes panel appearances in 2013 and 2014, where the stars discussed their characters romance on the hit fantasy drama.
