Kanye West Announces Preparation Of ‘Life Of Pablo’ Tour

Kanye West has announced that he is preparing for The Life Of Pablo Tour.

According to a Tweet from Kanye West’s Twitter account, the 38-year-old rapper from Chicago has stated that he is working on tour designs. Much has been missed if you haven’t been following the drama surrounding the announcement and release of The Life Of Pablo, Kanye’s most recent project. The Life Of Pablo released on February 14 of this year, though it was previously only available for streaming on TIDAL. He announced this news during his appearance on Saturday Night Live, where he performed “Highlights” and brought out fellow artists Young Thug, El Debarge, Kelly Price, and The Dream. Later on that evening, West performed “Ultralight Beam” with help from Price and The Dream while bringing Kirk Franklin and Chance the Rapper on stage.

Immediately after the performance, Kanye West said “Album in store! Kanye West dot com right now! TIDAL! Streaming right now!” in dramatic fashion. Much controversy has surrounded the Life Of Pablo album, mainly its name and the fact that users were having issues streaming its content after paying for it on release. The Life of Pablo has become available through other media since, namely Apple Music and Spotify. West had originally given the name So Help Me God to the album, initially setting an expectation that it would be released in 2014. However, the “Jesus Walks” rapper announced that a change would be made and that the title of the album would be called Swish.

West clarified that this could be subject to change again, and later did so; the album’s name was renamed Waves. In true Kanye West fashion, however, this was not without its share of backlash. After a brief dispute between himself and rapper Wiz Khalifa, West confirmed on radio that he still hadn’t settled on a final title for the album. This changed on February 9 of this year. Kanye revealed that the official album title would be T.L.O.P. While it was just an acronym at the time, Kanye was sure that there would be no further changes. He solidified this news by revealing the full name of the album the following day, calling it The Life Of Pablo.

According to the song “No More Parties in L.A.”, Kanye West compares himself to Pablo Picasso. This is most likely the reason for the album name, as West has often proclaimed himself as one of history’s greatest artists. While some may consider him arrogant or out of his mind, others would argue that Kanye has paved and molded the way for other artists behind him.

While no official dates have been released following the announcement of Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo tour, it is clear that the album has been received with positive reception. Alongside his statement that he was working on tour designs, West also tweeted in appreciation to his fans for helping his album become No. 1 in the world.

“I also wanted to point out that it’s the first album to go number one off of streaming!!!” Kanye tweeted. This was but one of a few tweets, and the anticipation for the tour is already at a high. According to Complex magazine, Kanye’s last tour, the Yeezus Tour, concluded in Australia almost two years ago. With the news of tour design work being done on The Life of Pablo, Kanye is almost ready to get back on the road to bring music to his fans.
