Suge Knight: Dr. Dre And Sheriff’s Deputy Conspired To Kill Me

Suge Knight is no stranger to controversy. In the latest news, Suge Knight is accusing Andre “Dr. Dre” Young of conspiring with a sheriff’s deputy to kill him. Thaddeus Culpepper, Knight’s new lawyer, filed legal documents that alleges Deputy Henry Boyd, literally, opened the door for the gunman who shot him in 2014.

Boyd was working a venue located at 1Oak in West Hollywood for the 2014 Video Music Awards (VMAs) when he let a shooter into the club.

This shooter shot seven times. Family sources told TMZ that Suge Knight was shot six times, but was expected to recover.

Culpepper says the incident was a sinister conspiracy. According to his documentation, Boyd is on surveillance letting the gunman into the club and moments later, shots were fired.

Tyson Beckford, Robert Ri’chard, and Apple de Ap all told TMZ they were inside the pre-VMAs party hosted by Chris Brown when they heard 4 shots ring out inside the club. Other sources in attendance says that Suge Knight was one of three people who were shot.

No one knew who the intended victim was at the onset of police investigations. The night started off tense. Over an hour before shots rang out, the Game came to the club with friends. The bunch got into a full on fight with the security guards, to which the Game was denied entry and left. But sources say his friends stayed behind.

After that altercation simmered down, the shooter entered the club and began shooting. Suge Knight’s lawyer says the alleged shooter confessed that Dr. Dre paid him and a friend $50,000 for the hit.

Culpepper says the Sheriff’s department released the shooter from custody, and Deputy Boyd helped him flee the country. He also suggest that after being questioned, Boyd resigned from the department.

At the onset of the investigation, there were rumors that Chris Brown was the intended target because it was his party. But the Sheriff’s office later confirmed Suge Knight was the target. All Hip Hop News reported that Knight refused to cooperate with authorities during the investigation, and would rely on people not affiliated with the Los Angeles Police Department. Knight is rumored to have gang affiliations.

As of yet, Dr. Dre has not publicly addressed Suge Knight’s accusations, but his attorneys told TMZ Knight’s claim is “ridiculous.”

XXL Mag reports Knight’s accusation against Dr. Dre is his latest ploy in defense of his hit-and-run incident. He has claimed as early as February that he’s half blind and potentially had a brain tumor—as a result of the alleged hit by Dr. Dre.

His then lawyer, Matthew Fletcher, claimed to New York Daily News, “How can he go left if he can’t see?”

Matthew Fletcher claimed that Suge Knight couldn’t see in the fatal hit-and-run accident as a result of blindness in his left eye among other complications as a result of being shot. However, a security video shows the hit-and-run of Terry Carter, 55, who died from his injuries and Cle “Bone” Sloan, 51, injured on January 29. It shows Suge Knight’s red truck pulling into Tam’s Burgers in Compton, where Sloan, Carter, and several others approach him. Moments later, Knight is seen reversing over Bone before putting the car into drive and running over both Bone and Carter again.

Suge Knight says the men were trying to ambush him with guns drawn. Knight claims he was standing his ground, and he could have avoided the demise of Carter and injuring Sloan had he not been targeted in 2014.
