Chrissy Teigen Has Chosen A Baby Name And Barack Obama Approves, But John Legend Thinks It’s Too ‘Hollywood’

Chrissy Teigen, American model and wife of John Legend, is expecting her first child. And with every imminent birth comes a baby shower. According to Entertainment Tonight, the baby shower was thrown by Kim Kardashian, and it was documented in full by her on Instagram. Attendees to the baby shower were the Kardashian sisters as well as Kris Jenner, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Malika Haqq, and many others.

According to Us Magazine, the baby shower was held in Kim Kardashian’s backyard. The baby shower was planned by Corrie Mendes and included a wide range of elements to suit anyone’s tastes. From food to games and other entertainment, the party offered a diverse range, including McDonald’s All Day Breakfast items. Khloe Kardashian made a speech and the guests played an assortment of games including one involving nursery rhymes.

The excitement couldn’t be contained by Chrissy. She and her husband have wanted a child for so long, so her healthy pregnancy has been a dream come true for both of them. According to CNN, Chrissy expressed her excitement at finally having the opportunity to be a mom in no time at all and how much love she’ll and her husband will be giving her daughter.

“Excited to meet this little girl soon and to see you shower her with the same love you give to me. We are so grateful to be surrounded by so many loving, kind, hilarious, generous, thoughtful beings. Feeling so lucky, so happy and so ready. As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family.”

Now that the baby is almost here, Chrissy Teigen is facing the same challenges as any new parent: deciding on a name for her daughter. According to E! Online, the baby is due to arrive mid-April. She recently made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and asked Stephen Colbert himself for some baby name suggestions. She spoke on changing the name all the time.

“We change it all the time, so if you have a suggestion…”

Chrissy Teigen also got some advice from none other than the President of the United States himself, Barack Obama, on choosing a name. She spoke with Stephen Colbert on how asking Barack Obama for a baby name went.

“I asked Barack. I asked President Obama if he liked one of our name choices and he said he did.”

The name still remains a secret from the public, and all fans know at this stage is that although the President thinks the tentative name choice is a good one, John Legend does not. Chrissy Teigen is staying tight-lipped as to why, but hopefully she’ll reveal the story after the child is born. Chrissy Teigen spoke on her husband’s lack of enthusiasm for the name.

“John isn’t sold on the name, so I figured if [the president] liked it, then John would be sold on it. He says it’s too ‘Hollywood.’ “

She didn’t reveal it to the audience, but she did whisper it into Stephen Colbert’s ear. Immediately after, the talk show host approved of the name without any hesitations whatsoever.

“I love that! To h*ll with Barack Obama — you go with that!”
