2016 ACM Awards: Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, & More Take Home Awards — Full Winners List
Country music’s biggest names took over Las Vegas’ MGM Grand for the 51st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards (also known as the 2016 ACM Awards), and a number of them even came away as big winners.
Jason Aldean took home the biggest award for Entertainer of the Year at the big ceremony (marking his eighth ACM Awards win) while the ACM Awards crowned Chris Stapleton as their Male Vocalist of the Year and Miranda Lambert their Female Vocalist of the Year. Lambert’s big win puts her total ACM Female Vocalist of the Year wins at seven, tying her with Reba McEntire as the artist with the most wins of the prestigious award.
Stapleton also took home another huge ACM win on country music’s big night, winning the Album of the Year award for his 2015 release Traveler.
Rolling Stone revealed earlier this week that a number of country music superstars were honored with special ACM Awards ahead of last night’s ceremony.
Carrie Underwood took home the ACM Lifting Lives Gary Haber Award before the telecast, while Glen Campbell received the ACM Career Achievement Award, Little Big Town won the Crystal Milestone Award, and Crystal Gayle, Tanya Tucker, and the Statler Brothers all took home the Cliffie Stone Pioneer ACM Award.
