Miranda Lambert And New Beau Light Up The Red Carpet At AMC Awards

Country singer Miranda Lambert brought new beau Anderson East to the 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards as her date, and they were not shy about showing some PDA.

Lambert and East attended the music awards show, which was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3, marking their first red carpet event as a couple. Onlookers said the new pair looked very lovely and sweet as they posed for the cameras. Insiders at the Academy of Country Music Awards claim Lambert has been formally introducing East to everyone as her boyfriend.

The country songstress looked sensational in her bright yellow Christian Siriano gown with a low-cut neckline and thigh-high side slit. Lambert paired her floor-length dress with pink satin Joyce Echols stilettos, which featured a tiny gold gun and pink holster design on the side.

Her date, on the other hand, looked dapper in a tailored suit with a skinny tie.

The 32-year-old singer started dating East in November of last year. Lambert and ex-husband Blake Shelton announced their divorce last July, ending their four-year marriage. However, the former couple has remained good friends and supportive of each other since their breakup.

Miranda Lambert admitted that she and Shelton did their best to make their marriage work.

“Marriage is a tough business, and we gave it our best college try,” she said of their split during an interview with Cosmopolitan.

On July 20, the former power country couple confirmed their divorce in a statement to Us Weekly, saying, “This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.”

Both Lambert and Shelton have found new love after their breakup. Shelton is currently dating former No Doubt singer and fellow Voice coach Gwen Stefani, who is the former wife of Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. Stefani announced her split with Rossdale roughly around the time Lambert and Shelton broke up. She ended their 13-year-marriage after Rossdale allegedly cheated on her with their children’s nanny.

Stefani and Shelton have been very open about their relationship, which started on the set of The Voice. They have been attending special occasions together since they began dating. She even made a song about the country crooner.

The “Little Red Wagon” singer, on the other hand, has moved on to East, an R&B artist. Looking at their sweet Instagram photos, the couple apparently spent New Year’s and Valentine’s Day together. Sources say Lambert and East’s relationship is going strong, and the blond singer has recently met his parents.

While everybody was expecting to see the former couple bring their respective dates at the event, it seemed Shelton came to the prestigious country music awards without Stefani. Shelton kicked off the show with Luke Bryan and gave a moving performance of his new single “Came Here to Forget.”

On Friday, April 1, Miranda Lambert joined fellow country musician Carrie Underwood as the Academy marked the fourth annual ACM Party for a Cause gala at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Lambert made a surprise appearance during Underwood’s performance and sang “Something Bad” together to the delight of their cheering fans.

Underwood headlined the ACM Women of Country night alongside other special female performers that night, including Kelleigh Bannen, Kelsea Ballerini, Cam, Kellie Pickler, Martina McBride, Jana Kramer, Lauren Alaina, Brandy Clark, and Maddie & Tae.

The Academy also gave away special ACM awards during the Friday event. Underwood was the recipient of Lifting Lives Gary Haber trophy for sponsoring various public schools around the country with musical instruments, and Ballerini received her New Female Artist of the Year award.
