Demi Lovato At The GLAAD Awards

The 27th GLAAD Media Awards was held on Saturday Night. The awards honor those who further GLAAD’s mission of ensuring that stories of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people are heard through media outlets. There were many recipients of the GLAAD award, among the award recipients were Demi Lovato and Caitlyn Jenner.

Demi Lovato being awarded with a GLAAD award was not the only impact she had on the crowd on Saturday night. Demi had the guest of the GLAAD awards buzzing as she stood on the stage with Nick Jonas and made the most unexpected joke.

“What people don’t know about me is, I know that you all love Nick Jonas, but I actually have a bigger d–k than he does and a huge set of balls. I’m going off script, by the way.”

Demi’s comment even took Jonas by surprise; he was standing unsuspectingly behind Demi. It was clear that he got a kick out of the shocking remark, taking a few steps away to compose himself as he chuckled along with the crowd.

Demi Lovato made this comment while she was on stage accepting her award. Demi is the recipient of the organization’s Vanguard Award, which was presented to her by Nick Jonas during Saturday’s ceremony in Beverly Hills. After making light of the moment Demi truly expressed how she felt about being presented with the award.

“I always knew that if I made it as a singer that I would need to use my voice for so much more than just singing. This award means so much to me, more than any music award because this is the real stuff.”

Demi Lovato was chosen for her advocacy for acceptance of the LGBT community. Demi Lovato has spoken about her late grandfather, who came out as gay in the 1960s. Demi also filmed the music video for her song “Really Don’t Care” at the L.A. Pride.

“I always want people to know, my fans, everything, that you should always love yourself for who you are, the skin that you’re in, whether you identify with it and are afraid to tell people, just go for it. You can do it. Have no fear. You can do it.”

Demi Lovato ended her speech by thanking her boyfriend that was unable to attend the awards with her.

“Last but not least, I want to say thank you to my love that can’t be here tonight. I’m just extremely proud of him but his name is Wilmer Valderrama and I’m so proud to be his girlfriend.”

The video of Demi Lovato’s speech can be seen below. The reaction from Nick Jonas makes her joke even that more hilarious.

It appears that the joke about Nick Jonas was to help Demi Lovato hide the emotions she was feeling. Demi took to Instagram and wrote a heartfelt message to the Jonas brother.

Demi and Nick co-starred together in Disney’s Camp Rock movie in 2008. The two have been close ever since then for many years. The pair plans to team up and perform on their dueling “Future Now” world tour this summer.

Demi Lovato performed her new single “Stone Cold” for the crowd. Demi Lovato also performed “Stone Cold” on Sunday night at the iHeartRadio Music Awards and she received positive feedback for her stunning performance.
