‘Dancing With The Stars’ Host Erin Andrews Calls Out Taxi Driver Filming Her [Video]

Cabbies, take note: if you use your cell phone camera to film Erin Andrews, you might lose out on a fare. That’s what happened to one taxi driver who was taking pictures of the Dancing With the Stars host as she was interviewed by a TMZ crew at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday. While the reporter asked Andrews about Von Miller’s relationship with his DWTS pro partner, Andrews walked along a row of cabs. She declined to take a ride with the man filming her movements.

Last month, Erin Andrews was awarded $55 million after a man filmed her changing in a hotel room. The Washington Post reported that, in 2008, the man asked staff at the Nashville Marriott for Andrews’ room number, and then booked the suite next to hers. He later uploaded the video to the internet. The man, Michael David Barrett, was convicted in 2009 of stalking Andrews in Nashville and Columbus. He served 20 months in prison.

The court found Barrett liable to pay $28 million of the judgment and the hotel nearly $27 million. Fox News reported that Barrett is most likely financially unable to pay the amount.

In Friday’s video, embedded below, Andrews seems generally good-natured and answers questions of the TMZ crew. She jokingly asks if they are paying the cab driver, presumably for his footage. At the end of the clip, the reporter explains to the cabbie that she objected to the filming.

Andrews was asked about Von Miller’s “flatulence tax,” imposed by his partner, Witney Carson, that was discussed on the show last week. The Denver Post reported that the Denver Broncos have the same “tax” in place for meetings, and Miller has been the most frequent victim.

In the TMZ video, Andrews said, “I wish Von Miller was my partner.” Andrews was paired with pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy when she placed third on Season 10 of Dancing With the Stars.

This season Andrews has been blogging for People, giving insight into her style choices for each Monday’s live show. This past week, the theme was Latin dances, and Andrews wore a short, sleek black dress with white trim. Her initial fears that the dress might be too casual were assuaged when her team got to work.

“I thought it would be a great dress for the ballroom but I was really worried it wasn’t ‘fancy’ enough. But once Alyssa [Green, her stylist] paired it with the jewelry, shoes, hair and makeup, this look was fantastic. Perfect for Latin night. It was beautiful yet spicy.

“The small cutout right above [the waist] gave it a sexy feel and I loved the slit; it was high enough to feel edgy, but I didn’t feel uncomfortable walking around in.”

This Monday on Dancing With the Stars, the celebrity contestants will recall their Most Memorable Year. It’s a popular theme on the program, which generally brings out lots of emotion for viewers and fans in the ballroom audience. BuddyTV reported that Kim Fields will recall her time as a child star on The Facts of Life, and perform a foxtrot to the show’s iconic theme song. Nyle DiMarco will perform a tango. Frontrunner Wayna Morris will dance to a Boyz II Men song, and Paige VanZant, who tied with Morris for top spot after the judges’ scores last week, will do a paso doble with Mark Ballas. Ballas sat out last week due to a back injury.

Dancing With the Stars airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. on ABC.
