Johnny Depp Rocks Out With Aerosmith During Hollywood Bowl Concert

Johnny Depp recently got a chance to rock out with Aerosmith during the band’s concert at the Hollywood Bowl, according to the New York Daily News. Or should I say that Aerosmith got a chance to rock with Johnny Depp? I’m honestly not sure which one deserves the honor more. Regardless, I’m sure the thrill of seeing Depp on-stage with Steven Tyler and the gang was overwhelming. After all, this sort of thing doesn’t happen all the time.

“I need a little help up here. Johnny Depp, are you in the house?” Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler reportedly yelled from the stage. When the actor, wearing eyeliner, a scarf, and a pile of necklaces, appeared on-stage, the crowd understandably went wild.

The Daily Mail reports that, after giving Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry a hug and strapping on a guitar, the actor launched into “Train Kept A Rollin” as Tyler sang on.

The event also marks the first time the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star has appeared at a major public event since splitting with his long-time partner Vanessa Paradis. The couple announced their separation back in June after being entangled for nearly 14 years. The duo have two kids together.

Despite the heartache usually associated with a breakup, Depp seemed to be in fine form as he greeted fans at the Pink Taco party after the show.

Of course, this isn’t Depp’s first time rocking out with Aerosmith. For the premiere of Tim Burton’s “Dark Shadows” Depp famously joined the band on-stage for a performance. Hardcore Johnny Depp fans, meanwhile, are probably familiar with his 90’s band P, which featured Butthole Surfers frontman Gibby Haynes on vocals.

Care to see Depp’s performance with Aerosmith from the comforts of your home computer? If so, take a peek at the video embedded below. Even if you’re not a fan of the band’s music, the collaboration is pretty entertaining.
