Chris Stapleton Returns To Kentucky High School, Donates $57,000 Worth Of Instruments


Chris Stapleton has an amazing country music career going on right now and the singer decided to give back to his hometown Kentucky high school.

People shared that Chris went back to his school and left the students in tears with his huge donation. Chris showed up last week at Johnson Central High School in Paintsville, Kentucky, and gave them a donation of $57,000 worth of musical instruments. Ram Trucks and the ACM Lifting Lives program also helped Stapleton out with the donation to help their music program.

Chris Stapleton knows that he can help out now and feels like it is important to help the kids who want to be creative, if it is with music or in another way. They had instruments at the school, but a lot of them were old and some were even broken. Of course, they couldn’t afford to repair these instruments and what Stapleton just did will help current students, but also students for years to come. Stapleton shared that the kids were really grateful for his donation. With the way that Chris Stapleton’s career is going, expect plenty more stories like this to come out about him in the future. Here is what Chris revealed about taking the instruments into the kids.

“When I saw the faces of the kids with the instruments you could tell how much they genuinely appreciated it, but they were also in shock. I think they were not expecting me to walk in.”

Of course, everyone was excited when Chris Stapleton showed up with the instruments. While he was there, Chris also performed two free concerts at the school. He revealed a new outdoor theater for the kids to use at the school as well. Chris feels like this was the perfect thing for him to do and stated, “To be here in the hometown, getting to help the school out and the kids out and the community out, that was the most obvious thing for me to do.”

Fans of Christ Stapleton can’t wait to see him perform at the big ACM Awards on Sunday. Billboard shared that Chris is already an early winner for the big event that is being held in Las Vegas. Kelsea Ballerini received the new female award and Old Dominion got the award for new duo/group. Chris actually has the chance to win seven awards total. At the 51st annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas on April 3, Chris could take home six more awards because he has already received one of them. He was picked as the new male artist of the year when it was announced on March 23. This was his first-ever ACM trophy. It is expected that he could take home all seven he was nominated for this year. Chris Stapleton has been around as a songwriter for a while, but his career as a singer is just now exploding.

Taste of Country revealed that Chris Stapleton’s tour has been so popular that he actually just added new dates for 2016. All of his upcoming tour dates for summer already sold out. Stapleton added dates for May, June and September. He will now be doing shows in New Orleans, Charlotte, Orange Beach and Philadelphia that were not scheduled before.
