Three Women Charged In South Carolina Bikini Brawl [Video]

Three bikini-clad women face charges of second degree assault and battery by a mob for allegedly viciously assaulting another women on the banks of the Saluda River in Columbia, South Carolina.

The unnamed bikini brawl victim, 20, suffered a concussion and a broken nose in the March 15 melee which was apparently filmed by a male bystander on a cell phone camera.

“A police report says the victim was lounging on the river with a co-worker when a mob of girls attacked her. The report says one pulled the victim by her hair before throwing her to the rocky ground. It says members of the mob slapped her, pinned her down, and repeatedly beat her, while unknown men videoed the assault,” WIS TV, Channel 10, in Columbia, reported.

A friend of the victim said described what happened at the riverbank in the violent incident.

“One’s kicking her, and she’s completely helpless. It’s just really hard to watch. The other one was just wailing on her face, wailing on her head, you know, on the back of her head. It definitely could have killed her. Seeing the aftermath was just insane: the way that she had blood all over her face, two black eyes, you can tell that she’s completely messed up in the face.”

Law enforcement authorities may pursue additional charges in the brutal bikini brawl incident.

“No one defended me, out of the 30 people that were hanging around — which is really pathetic in my eyes,” the victim of the beating told The State, adding that two of the assailants allegedly had bullied her back in high school.

“There had reportedly been a fight when they were in the 10th grade that resulted in them leaving her alone for quite some time, but it looks like they were ready for a second round,” Headlines & Global News added.

The victim has expressed concern for her personal safety because the trio has already bonded out of jail.

According to the Columbia PD Facebook page, the suspects who were arrested on Monday in connection with this incident are identified as Arlinda Craft, 18, Anns Leigh Hill, 19, and Megan Williams, 20.

“The suspects are accused of repeatedly assaulting the victim on her body and head…The victim received medical treatment for her serious injuries, including a concussion and laceration,” the police Facebook notice detailed.

“The three sassy suspects were booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, but were later released,” the New York Daily News explained about the aftermath of the bikini brawl.

According to WIS TV, one of the suspects previously “pleaded guilty to another assault case once again caught on camera.” The guilty plea from that prior incident was entered in January, 2016.

A separate report from the TV station suggested that some of the bystanders at the scene and/or the videographer could also be charged in the bikini brawl.

“That’s a possibility, although we need to talk with the Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s Office to determine if the charges are just with these three individuals or if they will extend to other people who may have been there at the scene, someone who may not have reported it, someone who may have recorded it and didn’t notify the police,” said a police spokeswoman, adding that people are disgusted and outraged after viewing the bikini brawl footage.
