The deal, which is reportedly for the NFL veteran minimum (about $925K), comes on the heels of Owens’ impressive workout with the club Monday.

ESPN writes that after catching passes with the Seahawks and running the 40 in an impressive 4.45 seconds on Monday morning, TO took to Twitter later that evening and wrote:

“God is good. Thankful. Grateful. To ALL my new teammates & the “12th Man”… Let’s Do This!!”

Pete Carroll, Owens’ new coach, also used Twitter to welcome the 38-year-old wide-out to his team, writing:

“@terrellowens welcome to the land of the #12thMan Terrell, see you in the morning… 8am meetings!!”

Over the course of his 15-year NFL career, Owens has played for a handful of teams — eight seasons with San Francisco, two with Philadelphia, and three with Dallas before a pair of one-year stints with Buffalo and Cincinnati — while putting together a pretty remarkable stat-line.

In 219 regular season games, Terrell sits second all-time (behind Jerry Rice) in receiving yards (15,934) and touchdowns (153), and sixth in receptions (1,078). His nine seasons with at least 1,000 yards receiving and 13 years with at least 50 catches rank third.

The six-time Pro Bowler’s total receptions are sixth on the NFL career list.

After sitting out the entire 2011 NFL season (ACL), Owens returned to football in 2012 and had 35 catches for 420 yards and 10 touchdowns in eight games for the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League.

In addition to signing Terrell Owens, the Seahawks also brought in veteran receiver Braylon Edwards, who played sparingly in 2011 with San Francisco.
