Miesha Tate Fights Ronda Rousey On Democratic Politics And Movie Roles

Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey oppose each other, not just in the cage, but also in many other parts of life. Miesha Tate recently revealed that she is fighting Ronda in her Democratic tendencies, as well as her fame in Hollywood. Maybe their next fight will reveal who is the true champion!

When Miesha was asked how she is feeling about being pitted against Ronda Rousey again, she said that she is ready to take her down.

I’m very confident,” she told Maxim. “I was telling everyone that Ronda Rousey is not this unbeatable woman, and then Holly Holm went out there and kicked her head off … And then I went out there and choked out Holly … I wanna rematch her. I’m so excited I have the belt. I’m supercharged and I’m confident.”

And it looks like she won’t be ready to let go of her belt any time soon.

The new UFC champion is definitely using her regained fame to gain some traction in the public sphere outside of the fighting world, like Ronda Rousey did. She revealed that she will be in an upcoming movie, probably to show the world that she has the face and the body to knock Ronda off her Hollywood platform.

“It’s called Fight Valley and it’s my first feature film,” she told Maxim. “I just dove in and did the best I could. I don’t think I’m gonna win any Academy Awards on this one. I had fun with it, and hopefully will get more opportunities like that. It’s about two sisters, one poor and one rich, and one goes into underground fighting. I did it with Holly Holm and Cris Cyborg.”

One thing that Miesha Tate does is to share the spotlight with other fighters, like Holly and Cris. On the other hand, Ronda has made it clear over the years that she likes to be the only one highlighted, meaning that she has what it takes to become the superpower of UFC.

Tate has an 18-5 record, so she definitely attest to the notion that she’s succeeded more than she has failed and shouldn’t be pigeonholed only by her failure to beat Ronda Rousey,” reports Yahoo! Sports.

But one arena, in which Miesha and Ronda can’t ever reconcile, turned out to be politics. While Ronda has been vocal about her Democratic leanings and even has rejected Donald Trump, Miesha is more open about having a Republican for the next president.

“I kinda think we’ve been Democrat for too long, so I kinda think we need a Republican in office,” Miesha confessed in the interview. “I don’t know enough about [Ted] Cruz. I know there’s pros and cons to Trump, and people talk crap that he’s had a lot of failed businesses, but failing a lot sometimes means you’ve tried more. And a lot of those people have succeeded more times than they failed.”

Ronda Rousey, on the other hand, has never shown support for Donald Trump, even saying that she will never be able to put her faith in him.

“I mean, I wouldn’t vote for him,” she told CNN. “I just really wouldn’t trust the guy with running my country, that’s all… I’m not really going to get into specifics of it, but, I mean, I don’t want a reality TV star to be running my country.”

Miesha and Ronda will just have to fight this one out in the cage. And UFC president Dana White seems very supportive of that idea.

Ronda now will fight Miesha Tate for the title,” Dana White stated according to Daily Mail. “That’s what’s going to happen. That’s what I said before this fight even happened, whoever wins tonight will fight Ronda for the title.”
