Miley Cyrus Outgrows Hannah Montana In Order To Find Her True Self

This may be painful news to her fans, but Miley Cyrus has finally outgrown her Hannah Montana persona. As it turns out, the character that Disney molded Cyrus into for four seasons is but a cocoon. Miley is meant to break out of her shell in order to become the social butterfly that she is today.

Indeed, it is time to face the facts. Hannah Montana isn’t going to be back any time soon. Elite Daily has Miley herself recently claiming on Instagram that she has buried HM in her backyard, although she loves the character very, very much. For a while there, too, it seemed that Miley’s beau, Liam Hemsworth, was in love with Hannah Montana and not the real Miley.

When the two first met on the set of The Last Song in 2010, it was love at first sight. At that time and barely 19, Cyrus still exhibited that ideal, wholesome looks of her alter ego. They, Miley and Liam, were both in love with Hannah Montana. As fate would have it, a lot would happen in a space of four years. After all, there was a lot of growing up to do for both persons.

Not until Cyrus would start breaking away from her intimate relationship with Hannah Montana that she would become an actual adult. She didn’t have to smash her reflection on the mirror in order to make the realization. All Miley had to do was grow up.

True, growing up is never easy. But with the help of an overly protective father, a doting mom, and a fairy godmother of a godmother, the young Cyrus would overcome all barriers to finding her true place in the universe. Like Dr. Steven Greer in The Disclosure Project, Miley Cyrus would finally be at home with the cosmos and its single, unified consciousness.

A new-found confidence now animates the singer, actress, and songwriter, igniting her performances with pulsating energy. In her new role as a judge in the TV show The Voice, Cyrus will, sooner or later, extend her pointy finger and touch the life of a struggling talent in ET-like fashion, if not a cosmic embrace.

What better way to capture the grown-up spirit in Miley by quoting her verbatim from a Glamour Magazine interview.

“Guys watch too much porn. Those girls don’t exist. They’re not real girls… And that’s like us watching romance movies. That’s girl porn, because, like, those guys do not exist.”

Another sound indicator of being grown up is not wishing to change poignant experiences in life, such as getting engaged or breaking up with someone. Miley confided the following to Barbara Walters in December, 2014.

“I was so scared of ever being alone, and I think, conquering that fear, this year, was actually bigger than any other transition that I had, this entire year… I don’t ever want to have to need someone again, where you feel like, without them, you can’t be yourself.”

So it wasn’t a coincidence when Liam and Miley would reunite recently, having both taken the time to grow up in their own, separate ways. The bottom line is, there was really no serious bad blood between the two, so getting back together was relatively easy. As the Lord of the Rings trilogy would end, the ring goes back to its rightful owner. The big, fat, heavy rock, as Cyrus describes it; yes, the 3.5-carat Neil Lane diamond ring that reportedly cost over $250,000, has returned.

Not that anyone should put a cost on love, but just as Cinderella’s glass shoes would symbolize, sometimes love needs just a little bit of magic. And what about the rag doll that is Hannah Montana? The rightful owner might have buried it somewhere in her backyard, but as Miley admits, it’s part of her, and will always be. After all, growing up isn’t about exorcising HM from the Miley Cyrus persona or for that matter, anything that is already part of oneself. It’s about learning from these influences and moving on.
