Kim Kardashian And Kris Jenner Leaked Her Sex Tape With Ray J? Behind The Shocking New Claim
Kim who? Before her celebrity sex tape with Ray J hit the web in 2007, nobody knew who Kim Kardashian was, but did the biggest name in reality TV leak the video on purpose? Ian Halperin sure thinks so, and he outlines his claims in his new tell-all book, Kardashian Dynasty.
According to Hollywood Life, the author alleges that Kim and her mom, Kris Jenner, purposely leaked the video as part of a plot to become rich and famous.
“A mutual friend of Kim and Paris [Hilton] had advised her that if she wanted to achieve fame, a sex tape would be the way to go,” Ian writes in his book, citing a source from the “adult film industry,” according to Page Six. “Kim had discussed the idea of producing a tape with her family beforehand.”
Although the sex tape was made in 2003, the Mirror reports it wasn’t until 2007 that Kim signed with Vivid Entertainment, which was after the sex tape was leaked. The author also quotes what a former friend of the Kardashian’s told him about Kris Jenner’s role in the sex tape.
“It was Kris who engineered the deal behind the scenes and was responsible for the tape seeing the light of day.”
Although it was rumored that Kris knew about the tape, it has been denied by Kim and the rest of the Kardashian clan. However, Fox News reports that in an attempt to speak with a Vivid Entertainment spokesperson for his book, Ian acted like he was trying to sell a celebrity sex tape.
During the conversation, the spokesperson said, “When it comes to selling a sex tape, both parties need to sign off.”
Ian then asked how Kim Kardashian’s sex tape leaked and the rep, according to the book, says, “A third party brought it to Vivid. [We] got in touch with the Kardashian family.”
The rep said that they usually explain that the sex tape will leak anyways, leaving the celebrity involved without getting paid.
“So why not work for us, and we’ll make sure that it will not only get out, but that it will be distributed the way you want. You’ll get a nice payment for it,” the rep continued, according to the book. “I can tell you right now. Kim Kardashian’s movie came out in ’07, and she’s made millions.”
Meanwhile, a rep for the 35-year-old reality star has stated that the claims made in the new book are completely false. However, Kim herself has yet to say anything about the new claims, although she did mention the sex tape recently after she was attacked for posting naked selfies online.
“It always seems to come back around to my sex tape,” she wrote on her website. “Yes, a sex tape that was made 13 years ago. 13 YEARS AGO. Literally that lonnng ago. And people still want to talk about it?! I have been through enough embarrassment and fear and decided to say, who cares, do better, move on. I shouldn’t constantly have to be on the defense, listing off my accomplishments just to prove that I am more than something that happened 13 years ago.”
As for Kris Jenner, she also has not addressed the claims, although the Daily Mail has tried to contact each of their representatives.
