Who will join the judges’ panel for the next season of American Idol? Nick Jonas confirmed the rumors over the weekend saying that he was being considered by Fox to fill one of the chairs.

Jonas confirmed the news on Twitter, writing:

“I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens.”

Jonas is best known for performing with his brothers in the band The Jonas Brothers, but his musical talent extends far past the pop group. He’s also had a successful solo career with Nick Jonas & The Administration and has done a few Broadway plays.

Fox is looking to fill at least one more chair on the judges panel. Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez both confirmed earlier this year that they were leaving the show and it has been rumored that Randy Jackson may also leave American Idol.

So far, Fox has signed Mariah Carey for season 12.
