Victoria’s Secret Model and Project Runway creator Heidi Klum made sure her “assets” were protected when she became a spokesperson for Procter & Gamble’s Braun shavers.  The supermodel took out an insurance policy with London’s Phillips De Pury for $2.2 million dollars to protect her legs in 2004 for the entire duration of her contract with Proctor & Gamble.

London’s Phillips De Pury Company is best known in the international market for valuating jewelry.  The company reacted  with enthusiasm to be able to insure and valuate Klum’s moneymakers.

Phillips De Pury Companyvaluator John Souglides told Vogue at the time,

“Having valued static objects for 15 years, it makes a refreshing change to be asked to value something living, and I certainly admired the exquisite lines of this piece,”

Klum’s legs, which were valued according to their length, shape, rarity and commercial value, had a price tag put on them of 1.1 million pounds which at the time had an equivalent value of 2.2 million dollars.

Proctor & Gamble footed the bill for the insurance policy at the time in order to protect its investment in Klum’s body.

Heidi Klum was married to R&B star Seal.  The couple had gotten married in 2005 on a beach in Mexico. They have three biological children together: sons Henry Gunther Ademola Dashtu Samuel and Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel and daughter Lou Sulola Samuel.   In January, 2012, the couple announced that they were separating after almost seven years of marriage. She filed for divorce from Seal three months later in April of 2012. She also requested that her name be restored to her birth name of Heidi Klum from the name she had taken during marriage of Heidi Samuel.
