WWE Rumors: Another Longtime TNA Star Announces Their Departure — Heading To WWE?

Just a little over a week after the TNA departures of Bobby Roode and Eric Young were announced, yet another longtime veteran of the company is done. TNA Knockout Angelina Love has officially revealed that her contract with the company has expired and she will not be going back. Yes, she did just recently give birth to a child, but she has already said that she’ll be getting back in the ring this summer, and it apparently won’t be with TNA.

That now makes four main-event-level stars that TNA Impact Wrestling has lost in the past month by adding Ken Anderson to that list. Going back to January, Austin Aries was officially not going back to TNA either as he made his debut at the NXT taping.

WrestleZone is reporting that Love’s contract is actually already expired, and that she will not be re-signing with the company. Well, at least not at this time.

She gave birth to a baby boy in mid-March.

After posting that picture and announcing she would be heading back to the ring in June, she was asked about TNA. A Twitter user actually asked if Angelina Love was still under contract with TNA Wrestling any longer.

On March 8, she did also reveal on Twitter that she is beginning to take bookings for the summer. That being said, it is obvious that she isn’t even negotiating any kind of deal or contract with TNA, but it’s not yet known if she has spoken to WWE.

The six-time TNA Women’s Knockout Champion and former leader of The Beautiful People has not been seen on TNA television since early September.

Angelina Love started her first run with TNA back in 2007 and she spent two years with the company before leaving in 2009. She then spent around a year with Women Superstars Uncensored before returning to TNA in 2010.

Upon her return, she actually feuded with The Beautiful People and stayed in TNA until 2012 before leaving again. She had requested her release and on July 1, 2012, it was granted. In March of 2013, she was contacted by the company for an appearance on a one-night TNA Knockouts PPV, but she declined.

In March of 2014, Angelina Love returned to TNA yet again and reunited with Velvet Sky to reform The Beautiful People. Over the year-and-a-half in TNA, she had numerous feuds, including with The Dollhouse, but she was written off due to her real-life pregnancy.

TNA Impact Wrestling has lost a lot of talent in the past year alone, and it just seems to keep happening.

Ken Anderson’s release from the company came early in March after he failed a drug test which had to be taken after he reportedly wrestled a match under the influence. A week and a half later, Eric Young and Bobby Roode requested their releases from the company.

There are rumors, but no word on, if any of them will end up in WWE.

Again, there was also Austin Aries who signed with NXT/WWE back in January. That’s not even counting the Dudley Boyz who didn’t re-sign with TNA and ended up returning to WWE in late summer of 2015.

Angelina Love has had three separate runs in TNA Impact Wrestling, and it has spanned the majority of the past 10 years, but now it may be over for good. The veteran’s real-life pregnancy wrote her off of TV, she has given birth, her contract expired, and she’s done. WWE may be in her future, but for now, that is unknown.
