Grigor Dimitrov Career Benefits From Girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger Relationship?

Grigor Dimitrov has been benefiting from his new relationship with his girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger. He has just advanced to the third round of Miami Open 2016, and is scheduled to face Andy Murray. While he has fallen a lot in rankings from his all-time high (world number 11), he has been working steadily to improve his game. And it looks like having a new relationship is somewhat helping!

“Bulgaria’s top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov secured a tough victory over Federico Delbonis (Argentina), paving his way for a match against the world’s No 2 Andy Murray,” according to Novinite. “Dimitrov won against Delbonis 7:6 (8), 4:6, 6:4, in a game that lasted 2 hours and 42 minutes. He had problems with the index finger of his right hand during the third set and asked for medical assistance.”

His new work ethic has improved after his breakup with Maria Sharapova, who was recently accused of doping. He moved on to dating Nicole Scherzinger almost right after the split, hinting to the public that he was ready to get a new girlfriend.

Nicole Scherzinger and Grigor Dimitrov made their relationship public this January by PDA-ing all over Brisbane, Australia.

“Nicole, who was supporting her man at the Brisbane International tournament, looked very-loved up as she and Grigor strolled through the tennis grounds,” reports Hello! Magazine.“Walking hand-in-hand, the pair stopped to kiss before Nicole, 37, affectionately wiped her lipstick mark off her boyfriend’s lips.”

Despite their willingness to be seen in public, they are also making sure that they don’t expose all of their intimate details to the world.

“They’re completely besotted with each other,” said a source according to Perez Hilton. “But they’ve been careful not to be pictured together because they don’t want the pressure of the relationship being in the public eye.”

Since then, the tennis player and his girlfriend have toned down their level of affection, choosing to focus on their respective careers as they look to strengthen the new relationship. Right now, as Grigor works hard on tennis courts in Miami, the singer maintaining her image in the entertainment industry by doing photo shoots.

She also has been making sure to attend all the important events like New York Fashion Week.

“She spent much of last week joining the style elite on the front row at New York Fashion Week,” reports Daily Mail. “And rubbing shoulders with a chic crowd has clearly had an impact on Nicole Scherzinger, who put on an incredible display as she partied the night away at Warwick nightclub in Los Angeles on Sunday.”

It looks like Grigor Dimitrov is totally comfortable with his girlfriend partying without him being there.

But whenever she can, Nicole Scherzinger tries to appear in courtside seats to show her boyfriend that his career matters a lot to her. But since Brisbane, the pursuit of her own singing/modeling career has kept her away from the family box seats.

So the Bulgarian player has been keeping his spirits high, in the absence of his girlfriend, by posting positive and artsy pictures on his Instagram. It is possible that some of them were taken by Nicole herself!

But it is also a possibility that he is feeling his patience running low. Despite his efforts to bring up his game, he has not been able to return to being world number 11 and has reportedly been feeling frustrated about the fact that he can’t get beyond quarterfinals of Grand Slam tournaments.

To shift things around a bit, he has hired a new coach.

“The 24-year-old whose ranking has sunk to 24th after hitting 11th on the ATP list at one point, seems to be enjoying his work with new coach Franco Davin,” reports Tennis World.

Fans hope that he can turn things around with help from his new girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger and his new coach.
