It’s Saturday, March 26, and that means it’s time for the next Powerball drawing. Powerball drawings always take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11:00 p.m. ET. They are held live at the Tallahassee, Florida, Lottery studios. No one has won the Powerball jackpot since March 2, and the jackpot has rolled to $101 million. You can watch tonight’s Powerball drawing live in the video player below as well as the winning numbers once they are drawn. The Powerball winning numbers are 5, 8, 15, 22, 49 and the red Power Ball is 25. The Power Play multiplier is 3x.

Update! The Powerball winning numbers for March 26 are in. They are 11, 23, 42, 52, 68 and the Power Ball is 6. The Power Play multiplier is 3x. The jackpot rose to $101.6 million with an estimated cash value of $65.6 million.

Though the jackpot hasn’t been won since March 2, there have been other winners who have won millions of dollars throughout the month. Excitement is growing as the jackpot has risen past the $100 million mark. When playing Powerball, the jackpot winner has the choice of accepting the jackpot in a lump sum cash payout, or in annual installments. When choosing annual installments, the cash value is the amount of the jackpot minus taxes. Those who choose a lump sum cash payment will receive the estimated cash value. Tonight’s Powerball jackpot has an estimated, lump sum cash value of $65 million.

When playing Powerball, players should determine beforehand if they prefer a jackpot payout in a lump sum or annual payouts. Many people prefer the lump sum payout, but many financial advisers recommend the annual payouts instead. Those who aren’t used to handling large amounts of money may be at risk of spending a lump sum payout in an irresponsible manner and could lose all their money. Those who select a cash annuity have the assurance that should they make financial mistakes they won’t lose all their winnings.

There are nine ways to win Powerball and those who match the red Power Ball number always win a prize. Powerball consists of choosing five white balls between the numbers 1 and 69 and one red Power Ball between the numbers 1 and 26. The Powerball jackpot is won if you match all five white numbers and the Power Ball on your ticket. Tickets are purchased at approved retailers and cost $2 per play. Tickets must be signed and in good condition in order to be claimed. Sign the back of your ticket as soon as you purchase it to prevent theft. Keep your ticket protected from damage and from becoming lost so you will know where it is in time for the claim.

The largest Powerball jackpot in history was won on Jan. 13, 2016, by three winning tickets. One ticket was sold in Florida, one in Tennessee, and one in California. The California Powerball winner has yet to come forward and claim their prize, prompting many to suspect something happened to the person. There have even been rumors circulating that the California Powerball winner has died.
