‘Destiny’: Xur’s Exotic Goods For March 25, Invective Pops Up

Xûr, Agent of the Nine, popped into the Tower on Friday to give Destiny players a blast. The mysterious vendor has the Invective Exotic shotgun on sale along with a couple of armor pieces that haven’t been seen around lately for PlayStation and Xbox players.

Destiny players looking for Xûr should turn right and head toward the hangar after spawning at the Tower. Once you’ve gone through the long hallway and entered the hangar, turn right and you will see the seller of Exotics. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map, just to be sure.

Invective

Shotgun-loving Destiny players should rejoice as it has been a couple of months since Xûr sold the Invective. The Exotic Shotgun is brutal in Crucible events thanks to its combination of range, impact, and the “Full Auto” perk. The weapon this week may be disappointing for those who have played Destiny since launch, but it’s a fantastic pickup for those newer to the game.

Empyrean Bellicose

Aside from being a cool-looking Titan helmet in Destiny, Empyrean Bellicose has a deceptively beneficial suite of perks, even if it may not be a top-tier piece. The main perk, “Antigrav Thrusters,” allows Titans to hover in the air while aiming. The other half of that perk gives a melee recharge whean picking up Orbs of Light, which synergizes well with the different Titan subclass melee abilities.

The random perk rolls give “Inverse Shadow” and “Second Thoughts” in the third column for more Super Energy from minions and Special Weapon kills against minions. “Better Already” for shield recovery on Orb pickup is the final column perk.

The split 45 Discipline /51 Strength split stat roll is decent enough. Destiny players will want to stand pat with these perks.

Crest of Alpha Lupi

Hunters that are team players will want the Crest of Alpha Lupi. The “Keeper of the Pack” perk makes reviving fallen teammates and being revived faster, which is perfect for Trials of Osiris and Elimination. It also causes Supers to generate an extra Orb, which is useful for the Orb-starved Gunslinger and Bladedancer sub-classes.

The Crest of Alpha Lupi piece being sold in Destiny this weekend offers the choice between carrying extra Auto Rifle or Sidearm ammo and reducing Void Burn damage or increased armor when using a Void-based subclass.

The 95 Intellect pure stat roll is excellent. Destiny players should only use Glass Needles if they want a different ammo or armor class perk.

Alchemist’s Raiment

This chest piece will definitely make Warlocks the best dressed Destiny Guardians in any activity. Additionally, the intrinsic “Iron to Gold” perk gives Glimmer when picking up Primary Weapon ammo and gives bonus Grenade and Melee energy when picking up Orbs of Light while the Super energy bar is full.

The optional perks roll well for Voidwalkers. In addition to the optional perk that grans more Special or Heavy ammo, it also comes with the choice between “Void Burn Defense” and “VoidArmor.”

Alchemists’s Raiment is a neutral piece but best fits the Sunsinger and Stormcaller. However, Destiny players have discovered the “Iron to Gold” perk does not drop Glimmer at a particularly steady rate. Still, the 68 Intellect/63 Strength is an excellent stat roll.
