Chapel Schmucker-Peace Of ‘Breaking Amish’ Arrested On Drug Charges

Fans of the show Breaking Amish on TLC love keeping up with the cast, but now bad news is out about Chapel Schmucker-Peace. We Are Central PA shared the news today that Chapel has been arrested on drug charges and is now in jail. She was part of what police are calling Operation Ice Storm, and Chapel was one of 33 people that were arrested. This investigation had been going for a year. They charged 27 people, and six others had been charged previously. Police were able to get one pound of meth valued at $91,000, about $8,000 of heroin, seven weapons, one vehicle, and $28,000 in cash.

DuBois Police Chief Ron LaRotonda shared details saying, “The whole investigation was focused around crystal meth or methamphetamine. It comes in different forms depending on where it’s at the purity level.”

Chapel Schmucker-Peace is listed as someone charged and it reveals that Chapel is already in jail. Chapel is listed as being 33 years old, and she was charged with one count each of possession with intent to deliver or delivery of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). These are some pretty harsh charges for the reality television star.

Explore Jefferson PA posted pictures of people that were arrested, including one of Chapel Schmucker-Peace. Agents from the Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation worked with investigators from the Clearfield County Drug Task Force on this case, which took a year. Exactly what Chapel did has not been revealed, but she was right in the middle of this mess.

This is not the first time that Chapel Schmucker-Peace has been arrested for drugs. Starcasm shared in July of 2015 that Chapel had been picked up on a bench warrant for being in possession of heroin bags, Valium without a prescription, and syringes. Chapel received two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered and three misdemeanor counts of use or possession of drug paraphernalia at this time.

As Starcasm shared, Chapel Schmucker-Peace was arrested again in January of 2016. At this time, it was kind of an odd charge for Chapel. She was picked up, along with her sister Ashley, for trying to pass off their own drug-free urine to someone else to use for a test. If this is the case, that would mean that Chapel Schmucker-Peace was not using drugs at this time. Chapel was on probation at that time for her arrest back in July. Fans are shocked that she would try to do this after already being on probation for someone else. It is unknown who they were trying to help out at the time, but both girls were arrested for it.

They are filming another season of Return to Amish, so hopefully the viewers will get to hear some of what is going on here. More than likely, they could already be done filming, though. It was revealed that the filming was going on back in November of 2015. There is no confirmation if Chapel will be on the upcoming season or not, but viewers would love to know exactly what is going on with her now. Hopefully, they will at least give updates on Chapel and share details about her arrest.
