With the Aurora, Colorado, Dark Knight Rises movie theater rampage still fresh in everyone’s minds, Houston, Texas, has created a six-minute, graphic video instructing residents what to do if they encounter an active shooter.

The video reenactment depicts a heavily armed man going on a shooting spree in an office.

The video is called Run-Hide-Fight: Surviving an Active Shooter Event and was produced with a $200,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The city of Houston originally planned to release the video as part of a wider safety campaign, AP reports, but the release date was moved up in the wake of the Aurora massacre.

In a statement, Dennis J. Storemski, director of the Houston mayor’s Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security, said that “We hope our residents are never confronted with such an event, but we want to prepare them with some important information if they ever find themselves in this situation.”

According to the mayor’s office, “although active shooter events are unpredictable, motives are different, and warning signs may vary, there are three things citizens can do to increase [their] chances of safety and survival: Run. Hide. Fight.”

The AP report notes that while Texas is a concealed-carry state, the video doesn’t show any citizen fighting back against the gunman with a firearm of his or her own. Houston officials responded that the instructional video is meant for the general population rather than the less than 3 percent of Texas residents who have a permit to carry a gun.
