Jennifer Lopez Hacked? J.Lo Didn’t Send ‘Nasty’ Tweet To Mariah Carey

Did Jennifer Lopez send Mariah Carey a “nasty” tweet in the early hours of Thursday morning? That’s what both Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey fans have been wondering all day today.

Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey have been rumored to be in a feud for years. But did the two divas really take it out on each other on social media? Jennifer Lopez insists that she did not send a “nasty” tweet to Mariah Carey, and says that the post is “fake.”

Carey is scheduled to perform a concert in Brussels on Sunday, March 27, as part of her Sweet Fantasy Tour. In wake of the deadly explosions on March 22, the singer has been warned not to perform. Carey has been told that she will need to cancel her show for obvious security reasons.

According to TMZ, Mariah’s security is “strongly against” her traveling to Brussels, as the venue could cause a possible future attack. While nothing official has been confirmed, Mariah supposedly tweeted, “Praying for Brussels. I’ve been strongly warned against performing there on Sunday but have yet to decide. I’ll let my fans know ASAP.”

Then, early Thursday morning, Lopez was accused of sending Carey a scathing message. She allegedly wrote, “@MariahCarey ISIS only targets places where there are a lot of people so I think your concert will be okay. Good luck hitting those notes!” The alleged tweet also included a kissing emoji.

But neither of these so-called tweets appear on either singer’s Twitter accounts, according to the Gossip Cop. Shortly after midnight on Thursday, Lopez slammed the rumors that she shaded the fellow diva. She wrote, “Someone copied my acct &wrote something nasty about another artist. I would never lower myself like that #fake #smallminded #noclass #notme.”

The alleged feud between the singers goes as far back as 2001, possibly even earlier. J.Lo released the hit song “I’m Real” featuring rapper Ja Rule. The song used a sample from Yellow Magic Orchestra, a Japanese band who’s beat was already on Mariah’s hit song “Loverboy.” Check out the songs for yourself below.

Then Queen Mimi made the rumor mill talk in an infamous interview, in which she uttered the famous words, “I don’t know her.”

Just a few weeks ago, the powerhouse singer shaded Jennifer Lopez again when she said that she still doesn’t know who she is. According to TMZ, Carey was seen leaving the Venice Family Clinic’s Silver Circle Gala honoring Brett Ratner and joked around when asked about the Latina pop star.

When asked what she thought about people bringing up her iconic “I don’t know her” phrase after all these years, Mariah laughed and said, “I still don’t know her!”

Lopez has addressed the feud rumors during her promotional tour. During an interview with daytime talk show host Wendy Williams, she revealed what she thought about Carey saying she “doesn’t know her.”

“She’s forgetful I guess. We’ve met many times. I don’t know her that well,” the actress and singer admitted.

Then on Andy Cohen’s show Watch What Happens Live, Lopez claims the reason why she didn’t see Carey perform in Vegas was due to scheduling conflicts.

“I think last year when [Mariah’s residency] started I was already here in New York filming Shades of Blue and doing Idol on the weekends—didn’t have a lot of time. Then I started preparing my own. I don’t think there’s been a time when I could have seen it.”
