The next Powerball drawing takes place on Saturday, March 26, at 11:00 p.m. ET. The winning numbers are 5, 8, 15, 22, 49 and the Power Ball is 25. The Power Play multiplier is 3x. You can watch the video of last night’s Powerball drawing as it occurred live in the video player below.

Though no one won the Powerball jackpot, there were several big winners in last night’s drawing. The grand prize is won when someone matches all five white numbers in the Powerball drawing as well as the red Power Ball number. The white balls range in numbers from 1-69 and the red Power Ball numbers range between 1 and 26. The second-tier prize is won when someone matches all five white balls but not the Power Ball. The prize for winning the match five is $1 million and this raises to $2 million if the Power Play multiplier was added to the ticket. Last night, a ticket in Virginia was sold with the match five, meaning someone is $1 million richer.

The third-tier prize consists of matching four of the five white balls and the Power Ball. The prize is $50,000 and this may increase when the Power Play multiplier is added to the ticket. Last night, 31 tickets were sold that were match four plus the Power Ball winners for a total of $50,000 each. Nine tickets included the Power Play multiplier that increased their prize to $150,000. There were 538,307 total winners and $7,462,825 was won in non-jackpot prizes.

Powerball is the most popular lottery jackpot game played in 44 states, Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. The game is governed by the Multi State Lottery Association (MUSL) along with Mega Millions. Other MUSL games include Hot Lotto, Wildcard, 2 by 2, Mega Hits and All or Nothing. Both Powerball and Mega Millions are known for having large jackpots that continue to roll when no one wins the jackpot. Powerball jackpots reset to $40 million following a jackpot win and Mega Millions jackpots reset to $15 million. Powerball made history on Jan. 13 when the jackpot rolled to an unbelievable $1.58 billion. It was the largest jackpot worldwide and sparked frenzy as people waited in long lines in order to purchase Powerball tickets. Mega Millions drawings have also been known to spark the same type of frenzy when the jackpot surpasses several hundred million dollars.

Those who play Powerball must keep in mind that it is a legalized form of gambling. The game is meant to be fun and helps put money in local school budgets. Many states saw an increase in their school budgets throughout the month of January due to record-breaking Powerball ticket sales. While playing Powerball helps local schools thrive and can reward players with monetary prizes, players must ensure they play the game responsibly. Most state lotteries provide resources for those who are developing a gambling problem. You may find links to your local state lottery at the official Powerball website.

The best way to ensure you are playing Powerball, or any lottery game, responsibly is by setting a budget and only spending that pre-determined amount on tickets. Make sure to include the cost for multipliers and how many tickets you want to purchase per draw. Some people play both Powerball and Mega Millions at each draw and buy multiple tickets. By determining beforehand how much you will spend on your lottery games, you can make certain that you aren’t tempted to overspend and spend money needed for bills and necessities on the lottery.

The next Powerball drawing takes place on Saturday, March 26, at 11:00 p.m. ET. Stay tuned as we’ll have the live drawing video, winning numbers, and latest news and information on all winners.
