Lifetime’s The Perfect Daughter Synopsis

Up until now, Martin Parish has had a beautiful relationship with his daughter, Natalie, who he has raised since his wife died of cancer years earlier. The beautiful camping trips, fishing at the lake, and other father-daughter outings have endeared Natalie to him in a way that makes him think he can never let her go.

However, their relationship is severely tested after Natalie becomes ill after going to an after-school party that took place at the home of Sam Cahill, the town’s popular high school hockey player. By the time Natalie arrives at the emergency room, she is unconscious but stable. Sick with worry about what happened to his daughter, Martin Parish is informed that she fell ill because she was drunk.

Angry and confused, Martin sets out to find out which adult supplied the alcohol at the party. Tempers clash when Martin confronts Sam Cahill’s father about the alcohol, ending with the two fathers going after each other in a bitter battle over whose child is the worst.

Even more devastating, Natalie tells her father that she is pregnant, causing him to overreact with charges of rape against Sam Cahill, who he believes is the father of her unborn child. Natalie is in over her head, and it’s Martin’s job as her father to go up against the Cahills, the police department, and even his own daughter if it will protect her and change her back into the loving responsible daughter that she was before.

Will Martin finally realize that Natalie is no longer daddy’s little girl? Will he ruin their loving relationship while ruining the life of an innocent teen with false accusations?

In the news, there have been several true-story cases of parents hosting teenage parties where alcohol is supplied. Some states have strong policies in place, other states do not. Do your best to set aside some time for this one, folks. The Perfect Daughter airs this Saturday, March 26 at 8/7 p.m. central on Lifetime Television.
