Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar Divorce Rumor: Tension Over Josh’s Return From Rehab Tearing Couple Apart, Leading To Major Fights
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are reportedly heading for divorce, with rumors indicating that Josh Duggar’s return home from sex rehab has torn the family apart.
Josh quietly returned this month after a long stay at a faith-based rehab center in Illinois. While it was seen as a positive step for Josh and his wife Anna as they try to pick up the pieces from Josh’s very public sex scandal, his return has instead pushed Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar to their breaking point.
Josh is reportedly not in the good graces of his entire family, with many family members saying Josh is not welcome around their kids.

Sources say the situation is causing mounting tension between Jim Bob and Michelle.
“Jim Bob believes that Josh is completely cured, and Michelle, while she would never admit it publicly, understands why some family members don’t want Josh around them or their children,” an insider told InTouch magazine. “It’s splitting the family apart.”
The fact that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar would even consider divorce is a shock to many close to the family. The Duggars are very strict in their particular Christian faith, one that puts the man as the head of the household and looks down on divorce.
It was even reported last year that members of the Duggar family were pushing Anna to stay with Josh even after his scandals — when he admitted to molesting a number of young girls, including his own sister, in his teenage years, then just weeks later was outed as a member of the infidelity-promoting site Ashley Madison.
But now Michelle Duggar is reportedly standing up to her husband, leading many to think they will end in divorce.
“They rarely argue, but this one was a doozy. [Jim Bob] argued about putting family first and how Michelle needed to move on and put things in the past, and she stood her ground and said she was putting family first by being cautious.” The insider added, “Michelle has actually raised her voice to Jim Bob, which never happens. It’s gotten so bad that friends think this could destroy the marriage that no one ever thought could be broken.”

But this is not the first time that tempers have flared between Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. Back in January, InTouch reported that the couple got into a fight over what punishment Josh should face for his sex scandal.
Hollywood Life reported that Michelle wanted to protect Josh from too harsh a punishment over his porn addiction and cheating scandal.
“Well, Jim reportedly was all about punishing Josh for all of his horrendous actions. But not Michelle. The insider stated that “Michelle thought it was so harsh, she was willing to defy her husband and take Josh away from the area. She spoke at length with family and friends and said she was willing to DEFY Jim Bob if it meant protecting her son. It caused a great deal of friction between Jim Bob and Michelle and could well have destroyed their marriage if Michelle had taken Josh away.” The source went on to add, “In the end, Jim Bob was able to convince Michelle it was for the best and she allowed the punishment to be carried out.”
If Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are truly headed for divorce, then they are doing a good job keeping it under wraps. The couple has shown no signs of trouble publicly, and neither have even hinted about any difficulties in their marriage.
