Chris Brown’s ‘Dead Wrong’ About Karrueche Tran? Sources Say Track Isn’t About ‘Getting Her Back’

Chris Brown may have made headlines after giving ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran a shout-out in his “Back To Sleep (Remix)” track that dropped last month, but is Brown penning even more new music about his split from his longtime girlfriend?

Over the weekend, Chris Brown took to Instagram to give fans a first-listen of a song that he has been working on in the recording studio by sharing several videos of himself dancing and singing along to a track reportedly titled “Dead Wrong,” Hot New Hip Hop reports.

Despite having released his seventh studio album just three months ago, Chris Brown has been actively teasing snippets of his new music via Periscope and Instagram while further fueling rumors suggesting that Brown is preparing a follow-up mixtape to his Before the Party release that dropped back in November.

In his latest new music teaser, which spans across five separate Instagram videos, Chris Brown can be seen dancing to “Dead Wrong” in his luxurious bathroom while belting out lyrics like, “You say you love someone / And I’ve been that one.”

According to sources close to Chris Brown, it appears that the singer’s new track was reportedly inspired by Brown’s recent Instagram spat with ex Karrueche Tran.

“The song is definitely about his Karrueche,” the source explains, noting that Brown recorded the rumored new single following his heated Instagram exchange with Karrueche last week before adding that the track is “not necessarily about getting her back,” Urban Islandz reports.

“It’s more like a ‘wish you all the best’ type of heartbreak R&B joint,” the source further explains while speculating that Brown is planning to release the full version of “Dead Wrong” as a new single “by the end of the month.”

Last week, Karrueche Tran took to Instagram to blast Chris Brown for dissing her on social media, despite the singer claiming to want to get back together in his “Back To Sleep (Remix)” track that dropped last month.

“You’re calling me a b**** yet you’re screaming my name in a song about getting back together?” Karrueche wrote in response to Chris Brown after the singer ignited a heated Instagram exchange with Tran’s manager, Jacob York.

“CAN ALL THIS PETTY S*** STOP. IT IS SO UNNECESSARY,” Karrueche continued in her Instagram comment to Brown. “You have a beautiful daughter and so much to live for. LIVE YOUR LIFE and be positive. I am so over the drama! I just wanna work and be happy and take care of my family.”

Karrueche Tran ultimately concluded her response to Brown by noting that “every f****** day it’s something new,” before shaming fans who aim to bash her on social media with, “And all you f**** get your life and laughs from this s*** show. I am m******** tied!!”

While Karrueche has yet to respond to speculation suggesting that Chris Brown’s new track, “Dead Wrong,” is inspired by their recent Instagram fight, the model made headlines over the weekend after she was spotted hanging with model Jasmine Sanders, who has been romantically linked to Chris Brown in the past.

During their attendance at the annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards over the weekend, Karrueche and Jasmine stopped to pose for photos together before embracing one another on the red carpet. Hours later, a video surfaced of Tran and Sanders dancing and singing along to Rihanna’s newest single, “Work,” further fueling speculation that Karrueche is attempting to be cordial with Brown’s exes in an attempt to throw shade at her former boyfriend.
