Kim Kardashian & Khloe Kardashian Shed 80 Lbs: Weight Loss Guru Shares Diet Plus 1 Food To Give Up For Big Results

Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian have lost more than 80 pounds combined. And now the weight loss expert who served as the nutritionist for the Kardashian sisters is dishing up all of their diet tips and tricks, including which one food to sacrifice for big results, according to People.

Meet Dr. Philip Goglia, who, in addition to Kim and Khloe, has worked with Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and Cara Delevingne. He explained that whether he’s helping a model like Cara, a reality TV personality like Kim or an actor like Chris, the guidelines are the same in getting lean.

Which is the one food that’s the biggest culprit when it comes to slowing down weight loss?

Goglia points to dairy, and Khloe credits eliminating dairy from her diet for an 11-pound weight loss in just one month. How is it possible that cutting out one food can make such a difference?

“Dairy is like eating moderately hard phlegm,” contends the Kardashian’s nutritionist. “It adversely affects digestion, it causes bloating and gas, it promotes inflammation, and it adversely affects oxygen utilization.”

Moreover, Goglia believes that by cutting out dairy, dieters can experience associated benefits.

“My skin also got clearer, I had more energy, and I wasn’t congested,” revealed Khloe after she stopped eating dairy products.

Khloe has been showing off her revenge body on social media to flaunt her weight loss success, including promoting her new revenge body makeover show.

But that’s not the only food category that Goglia advised Kim and Khloe to cut from their diets. To boost their weight loss, he also had the Kardashian sisters eliminate foods made with gluten and/or yeast. Farewell to bread used for sandwiches, bagels for breakfast, and muffins to snacks.

“This basically means no bread,” stressed the nutritionist. “They are multi-ingredient starches. They are yeast, mold and gluten-bound.”

However, that rule does not mean that you have to eliminate all starchy foods if you decide to follow the weight loss plan that helped Kim and her sister. Instead, Goglia permits his diet clients to eat starches made of a single ingredient. If the food contains more than one ingredient, skip it, he says.

“The starches you should choose are one-ingredient – potatoes, rice, oatmeal, oat flakes or oat puffs,” he clarified.

As for protein, Goglia told the Kardashian sisters to consume their protein at night, which he sees as the time when the body doesn’t need starches.

“At that point, there should be no energy source food. People don’t run a marathon after dinner. You don’t need a potato at dinner. You’re going to store it as fat, and then you’ll enflame.”

The Kardashian nutritionist views fish as the ideal choice when it comes to protein, and he recommends consuming that fish along with vegetables for dinner. However, not just any fish will do.

“Fish offers up a lot of anti-inflammatory benefits and fat-burning benefits when consumed at night, but it’s got to be a fatty fish like salmon, sea bass, black cod or Arctic char,” he added.

As for what to drink, water rather than coffee, juice, or soda is the winner for shedding pounds. To determine how much, Kim and Khloe were told to drink at least half of their body weight in ounces of water daily. Their nutritionist said that water benefits the body by helping nutrients as well as toxins progress through the system.

“More importantly as it relates to your physique, it regulates temperature. If your water is low and you can’t regulate temperature patterns, then your body will start to store fat underneath your skin to act as insulation to control your temperature,” explained Goglia.

Both Kim and Khloe have been vocal on social media about their weight loss efforts. Kim also referenced the Atkins diet in helping her reach her diet goal, according to MSN.

Kardashian, who recently welcomed her second child into the world, shared in a blog post earlier this week that she has now lost more than 40 pounds.

“Wanting more things to start fitting – 42 lbs. down and 28 to go! Wearing my old workout clothes! They fit again.”

Kim was candid about how much she gained during the time that she was pregnant with Saint West.

“I gained 60lbs during my pregnancy but have been an extra 10 lbs up for the last few years so it’s time to really get to my goal,” vowed Kardashian on social media.

Kim didn’t hold back on the challenge that she faced, but she emphasized her determination.

“This is going to be soooo f—— hard but I can do it and I can’t wait to share it all with you!#BeastMode #WhosWithMe?!?!?!” added Kardashian.

As for Khloe, she also credits the gym for her 40-pound weight loss, noted People.

“I definitely think the physical and the mental go hand in hand,” proclaimed Kardashian. “I feel so good in the gym that it [affects] the rest of my day. It’s a healthy addiction. It’s like buying your sanity!”

Khloe has been flaunting her revenge body on social media, pointed out the Inquisitr. She’ll soon have a chance to use what she’s learned in achieving her 40-pound slimdown and sleek physique in a new makeover show that helps others sculpt their own “revenge” bodies to show off to others.
