Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards are long over, but the rumors involving the two never seem to go away. The couple never really revealed why they broke up. However, he has indicated that he fell out of love with Perrie Edwards. He talked with Complex about being in love. It’s clear that Zayn does not fail to consider both sides of the spectrum: falling in and out.

“There’s a lot of falling in love and a lot of falling out of love. It’s probably 60/40, falling out of love.”

The One Direction singer said his album Mind of Mine is greatly inspired by the pain he felt in the relationship. Zayn has always emphasized being honest in a relationship, and he goes on to say that the music is no different.

“I feel like you get creative with things when you can be honest,” he remarked.

It seems like Zayn is very clear about what he wants from his music.

“If you’re in a really good place, you can write a really good, upbeat song. When you’re in a s**t place you can write a downbeat f**king ballad! That’s just the way it is,” the Daily Mail reported.

Zayn Malik may be dating supermodel Gigi Hadid, but the rumors of him not being over her keep making rounds. The Inquisitr had reported that Zayn got into a squabble with Louis Tomlinson after he was seen hanging out with Perrie Edwards, the Daily Mail reported. That’s not all. Zayn reportedly sent out a sarcastic message and asked Tomlinson to stay away from her.

“Zayn sent Louis a sarcastic message the day after the BRITs saying: ‘Thanks for the loyalty’ and asked him to leave Perrie alone,” a secret source spilled, according to Sugarscape.

Zayn Malik may have said that he fell out of love with the Little Mix star, but should he be believed so easily?

It doesn’t look like Perrie Ewards was going to let Zayn Malik decide who she could hang out with.

“Louis and Perrie have always been good friends, and she’s been a good support to him. Louis had made it clear that he’s got no intention of cutting her out of his life.”

Back to the topic of Mind of Mine being a complete Perrie Edwards album — it might just be true. Zayn Malik has said it time and again that the single “It’s You” is a take on the times he spent with his ex, the Daily Mail has reported. If Zayn Malik can’t keep Perrie Edwards out of his songs, do you think he can keep her out of his life?

Well, it may not be what it looks like. Zayn Malik has said that reflecting real life in art is more of a therapy for him than anything else. He says putting himself out there always helps him tackle things better. Malik also agrees that it’s a way to get over some of the issues regarding the relationship.

“There’s always a fine line with that. I just felt like I needed to put myself out there a bit on that because it was a form of therapy for me, and it did help me get through some s**t.”

Zayn says he also understands that his art can also help someone else and that he is glad.

“So if it can help someone else at that time, then that’s cool,” the former One Direction star goes on to say.
