Victoria Beckham used to smile, but then she got into fashion. The model and now born-again Spice Girl recently told Glamour Magazine that she believes that fashion “stole” her smile.

Beckham said:

“I actually used to smile a lot in pictures. I think I only stopped smiling when I got into fashion….Fashion stole my smile!”

The International Business Times notes that it’s pretty difficult to find a photo of Beckham smiling on the runway or red carpet, but the model insists that she’s a much happier person when she’s away from the cameras.

Beckham said:

“I’ve created this person. And I’m not saying that’s not me, but I wouldn’t say that’s the whole me. … It’s an armor that goes up.”

Victoria Beckham may keep her smile behind an icy veil on the runway, but the 38-year-old model has plenty to smile about in her personal life. Beckham recently reunited with her fellow Spice Girls and is planning a new musical, she has four children with her husband David Beckham, and she recently unveiled a new fashion line.

Victoria said that she hopes to maintain the happiness in her life and maybe, one day, her and David will decide to have another baby.

Victoria said:

“I’d like everybody to be healthy and happy. I’d like to be growing the business at a steady pace, and to be making more women feel empowered, beautiful, and confident. And I’d never say never about another baby. It’s a juggling act – a career, family, a husband who’s busy. But I’d never say never!”
