Nina Dobrev Shows Interest In Ian Somerhalder After Tim Tebow Split, Nikki Reed Jealous?
Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev sparked relationship rumors once again after The Vampire Diaries alum reportedly broke up with her new beau Tim Tebow. A new report suggested that the former couple is still interested in rekindling their old flame, in spite of Ian being fully committed and married to wife Nikki Reed.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Nina Dobrev and Tim Tebow have already ended their relationship. The outlet speculated that one of the causes of the break up is the lack of intimacy between the former couple.
“When it comes to a relationship, Tim is saving the best for marriage. Maybe that was what turned Nina off.”
On the other hand, perhaps Nina Dobrev wanted to focus on her career in 2016. After leaving The Vampire Diaries, the outlet pointed out that the actress’ career has been going downhill. She has long dreamed to become a successful movie actress, but it seems like things are not going as planned. CDL reported that Dobrev was just “taking whatever” role has been offered to her at this point.
Multiple reports suggested that Nina Dobrev is actually thinking of returning to The CW for a role on The Originals series. When the show was moved to Friday nights, the ratings declined to an average of less than a million viewers per episode. The producers allegedly believed that the addition of Dobrev to the cast will help bring back the old viewers.
If she ended up starring in The Originals, CDL suggested that she could take the role of Tatia Petrova. This will be perfect for her as Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) expressed interest in her before. In addition, by being cast as a doppelganger, she could conveniently return to being Elena Gilbert if the writers back at The Vampire Diaries needed her back.
Returning to The CW will reportedly open doors for Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder to rekindle their old feelings. While the couple broke up almost four years ago, insiders still insist that the former couple still has feelings for each other. The publication went as far as saying that if Nina wanted Ian back, the actor would divorce his wife Nikki Reed in an instant.
“Ian may be a married man, but if Nina were to show even the slightest interest in rekindling the romance, Ian would probably dump Nikki Reed as quickly as possible. After all, Ian married Nikki on the rebound from his breakup with Nina.”
During Nina and Tim’s steamy number on Lip Sync Battle, Ian Somerhalder allegedly got jealous seeing his ex-girlfriend grinding on another man on stage. While he has incessantly said that he no longer has feelings for Dobrev, multiple reports keep linking the exes back together.
At one point, it was even rumored that his wife, Nikki Reed, had a “meltdown” after “Elena and Damon” trended on Twitter. While the fans of The Vampire Diaries did not mention that they wanted the two to get back together, Reed was allegedly furious just seeing the their names linked together. The Twilight actress reportedly believed that Dobrev remains a threat to their marriage, which drove Ian Somerhalder nuts.
“Her insecurities have driven a major wedge between herself and Ian, so much so that there have been whisperings of a divorce for months.”
Gossip Cop, however, immediately assured fans of Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed that the couple are still very much in love and had nothing against Nina Dobrev. Turns out, Nikki is actually quite secure of their relationship.
“In the real world, Reed is not remotely concerned that fans of the show like the fictional characters together. Nor is she ‘jealous’ or having a ‘meltdown’ fearing the exes will reunite,” the outlet reported.
