‘Fallout 4’ Meets ‘Star Wars’: Darth Vader And Skywalker In Epic Mod Battle

Why play Star Wars Battlefront if you can play Darth Vader vs Luke Skywalker on a much more vast verse, like Fallout 4?

We are just four months removed from the release date of Fallout 4, which was in November, 2015, and yet we already have a variety of amazing and crazy mods to choose from. Forget the crazy and unbelievable mods that modders did for GTA V — that’s so 2015. This year, go legit with mods for Fallout 4. Rest assured, no developer will come after your masterpieces.

One of the most recent playthroughs created with mods in Fallout 4–and definitely one of our favorites, too–is the Star Wars meet Fallout 4 playthrough by Cosmic Contrarian.

Cosmic Contrarian is a gaming enthusiast over at YouTube, and he played around with various titles like Far Cry 4(oh how we love what he did with Pagan Min),Dishonored, and Total War. His most recent projects, though, are centered on Fallout 4, and it’s not surprising since the sheer volume of things you can do on Fallout 4 is crazy! With all the mods available and the size of the Fallout 4 map, there’s no telling what things Fallout 4 addicts can come up with.

Cosmic Contrarian’s older Fallout 4 videos featured a Terminator rendition, and a crazy 30,000 Deathclaw vs 300 Brotherhood of Steel. His 300 Brotherhood of Steel vs 30,00 Deathclaw Fallout 4 video has been quite famous, too, when he came out with it in November. Watch it below.

But his most exciting project yet is his Star Wars cross Fallout 4 featuring the epic battle between Darth I-Am-Your-Father Vader and Luke Skywalker.

The Fallout 4 x Star Wars video starts off with a good shot of a Vader-looking ship, and it’s pretty impressive. We then witness some Stormtrooper stand-ins engaged in battle with generic Rebel troops.

All Terrain Armored Transport or AT-AT walkers, which are very famous in Star Wars, couldn’t be left behind by Cosmic Contrarian. But since Fallout 4 didn’t have these ugly-looking machines, he dressed up Liberty Primes in white instead, and the effect was pulled off just as well–and just as bloody.

And of course, the guy of the party, Darth Vader, shows up. He’s pretty wicked in this video, too, since he is able to take on waves of Rebels all by himself, with the aid of his trusty, black and shining pip-boy that doubles as his force powers and modded lightsaber.

The climax of the Fallout 4 x Star Wars video, of course, is the epic battle between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker; the clash between the red and green lightsabers; the battle between good and bad. The fight between Vader and Skywalker is intense, ending with a good swipe from Darth Vader mutilating Skywalker’s arm. Classic Fallout 4 gore.

The final shot of the epic Vader and Skywalker battle is a Death Star wide shot, and it’s a perfect touch.
