Drake Signs His Name To Rihanna’s ‘FADER’ Cover With A Heart, Further Fuels Dating Speculation

Drake and Rihanna may be keeping mum when it comes to the dating rumors surrounding their latest collaboration, but it appears that Drake is only furthering the romance claims between himself and Rihanna after signing the songstress’ FADER 100 cover with a heart on Sunday.

Drake made a surprise appearance at FADER FORT‘s closing night at SXSW on Saturday, taking to the stage to perform six tracks, including “Energy,” “Legend,” and “Back To Back,” before heading backstage to sign FADER‘s wall featuring previous cover stars from their bi-monthly magazine issues.

Rather than signing his own cover, which appeared in the magazine’s October/November 2015 100th issue, Drake took to Rihanna’s FADER cover to write, “OVO 6 SIDE,” before adding a small heart over the songstress’ backside, HipHopDX reports.

The news comes on the heels of reports suggesting that Drake and Rihanna may be rekindling their former relationship after teaming up for their third chart-topping collaboration for “Work,” which was accompanied by a steamy, two-part music video release last month.

On Wednesday, Rihanna surprised concertgoers in attendance at her show in Miami, Florida, by bringing Drake onstage to perform his portion of their “Work” collaboration. During their performance, Drake pulled Rihanna in for a sweet hug before the duo burst into laughter, prompting fans to speculate over whether or not the duo’s flirty onstage behavior may be an indication of a reunion, TMZ reports.

An alleged source close to Drake and Rihanna recently opened up to Urban Islandz about the duo’s rumored reunion, telling the site that the duo is choosing to keep their romance “out of the public eye.”

“They always have chemistry and sometimes it just takes them to cross paths again to spark that fire,” the source explains, noting that the duo is “definitely hooking up again.”

“Plus a lot of [Rihanna’s] friends like Drake and see them as a great couple, like a real power couple,” the source concludes.

However, Tim Erem, who directed the “pink room” version of Rihanna and Drake’s “Work” music video, recently spoke out against rumors suggesting that Drake and Rihanna’s flirty behavior is anything more than professional onscreen chemistry.

“You just put them in front of a camera and they’re like the two coolest, most interesting artists you can see,” Erem explained to Entertainment Weekly following the release of the duo’s music video. “Doing this with someone else would be the most boring video you’ve ever seen. But these two artists can carry a whole video in one setup.”

Speaking specifically of the dating rumors surrounding Rihanna and Drake’s onscreen chemistry, Erem reveals, “Everyone’s asking, are they together or are they this or are they that? No, they’re friends. They’re just amazing performers and they’re really close to each other. So everything was natural.”

More recently, Rihanna opened up about her relationship status in an interview with Vogue for the magazine’s April 2016 issue, telling the publication that her schedule makes it difficult to be in a committed relationship.

“My schedule is so crazy right now. It’s definitely going to be a challenge when I do decide to pursue a relationship … but I have hope!” Rihanna explains, noting that she only got “four days of tour rehearsal in total” before embarking on her “Anti World Tour” which kicked off last week.

While Rihanna maintains her single status, it appears Drake is only aiming to continue fueling the romance speculation with Rihanna following their sultry “Work” collaboration.
