For those who are struggling to meet their weight loss goals, losing weight is often a struggle of first losing the weight and then gaining it back. Lifestyle changes are necessary to first get the weight off and then keep it off for good. Sometimes the simplest diet tips work the best to help dieters get the weight off and then keep it off.
Redbook said that Melissa McCarthy offered up some simple weight loss tips that allowed her to lose 50 pounds. McCarthy said that she leads a super boring life.
“I stopped over-analyzing, over-thinking, over-doing anything. I kinda went back to when I was pregnant and I just stopped constantly being worried about it and I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked.”
As previously reported in Inquisitr, some of the best weight loss tricks are backed by science and actually work. In one study, part of the participants drank 16 ounces of water 30 minutes prior to meals. They were able to achieve an almost 10 pound weight loss without making any other changes to their diets. Making small lifestyle changes often add up to results that can be maintained.

On Today, Oprah offered five of her best weight loss tips for helping dieters lose the weight and keep it off. Oprah had previously announced her partnership with Weight Watchers, and since then she has lost 26 pounds. On an exclusive call for Weight Watchers members, Oprah revealed her top five weight loss tips she used to help her stay on track to her weight loss goals.
They included eating seafood like barramundi, which is a form of Asian sea bass. Since this fish can be hard to find in the United States, Oprah said that she often eats cod instead. She also recommended eating Chilean sea bass and salmon, some of her favorites. She eats these fish less, as they are fattier than barramundi or cod.
For those who want to satisfy their cravings for a crunchy and savory snack, she recommended the vegetable jicama. A large bulbous root vegetable with a thin brown skin that makes it look unappealing, when the skin is peeled back, it reveals a juicy flesh that has a sweet and nutty flavor that is crunchy too. Oprah suggested this vegetable as a replacement for chips.

The Sports Blog reported that natural home remedies can be used to help with both weight loss and then maintaining that loss for good. The goal is to make simple adjustments that become lifestyle choices. It starts with adding more protein and fiber to the dieter’s diet. This leads to a faster weight loss while helping the dieter improve nutrition, too. Staying away from refined foods and cutting the intake of sugar helps, too.
Other recommended weight loss tips include drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated. Squeezing a lime and adding a teaspoon of honey to warm water first thing in the morning can lead to improved fat burning as well as improved metabolism. This should be done on an empty stomach for best results.
Green tea is often promoted for weight loss because it contains ECGC, which is reported to also increase metabolism. Exercising regularly can increase muscle mass, and yoga poses are good for increasing flexibility as well as reducing stress, something that can make it harder for dieters to lose weight.
