Donald Trump, Megyn Kelly: GOP Frontrunner Has ‘Sick Obsession,’ According To Fox

Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly just don’t get along, and Fox News believes that it’s because Trump has a “sick obsession” with her. According to People Magazine, Fox released a statement in support of Megyn Kelly after Trump started trash talking one of the network’s star players all over again. Fox apparently believes that Trump is focusing way too much on Kelly and that he must be doing so because he’s built up this sort of complex.

“Donald Trump’s vitriolic attacks against Megyn Kelly and his extreme, sick obsession with her is beneath the dignity of a presidential candidate who wants to occupy the highest office in the land. Megyn is an exemplary journalist and one of the leading anchors in America — we’re extremely proud of her phenomenal work and continue to fully support her throughout every day of Trump’s endless barrage of crude and sexist verbal assaults. As the mother of three young children, with a successful law career and the second highest rated show in cable news, it’s especially deplorable for her to be repeatedly abused just for doing her job,” the statement read.

Donald Trump has been hard on Megyn Kelly since his campaign really started to take off, and he has even chosen to sit out on Fox News-hosted debates because of Kelly’s involvement. He has insulted her on numerous occasions, and hasn’t been remotely nice when speaking about her.

Trump has continuously said that Kelly bad mouths him and his campaign and he won’t put up with it.

“Megyn Kelly is a highly overrated reporter and anchor that constantly disparages Mr. Trump with negative and inaccurate reports. Despite the fact he wants nothing to do with her and will not appear on her show due to her extremely biased reporting, much of the program is about him anyway on a nightly basis. In fact, Fox News has begged Mr. Trump to do a primetime special to be broadcast on the Fox Network, not cable, with Megyn Kelly. He has turned them down,” Donald Trump’s campaign said in a statement.

Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly don’t appear to want to settle their issues. Although Trump has participated in a Fox News-moderated debate where Kelly was present, he still doesn’t like her and doesn’t appreciate (what he considers to be) her negative stance against him and against his campaign.

Donald Trump has called Megyn Kelly a “bimbo,” a “loser,” and “average,” according to Us Weekly. His campaign runners have defended him, however, saying that he’s just fighting back against Kelly who seems to have it out for Trump. She spends a lot of time talking about Trump in a negative way, but claims that she doesn’t need him to do an interview with her to be successful. Trump believes that Kelly is successful/popular because she spends so much time focusing on him.

“Unlike Megyn Kelly, who resorts to putting out statements via Fox News, Mr. Trump will continue to defend himself against the inordinate amount of unfair and inaccurate coverage he receives on her second-rate show each night.”

Fox pointed out that The Kelly File always has on a Trump defender to balance out each segment – Katrina Pierson, Barry Bennett, Roger Stone, etc.

This Donald Trump/Megyn Kelly feud doesn’t look like it will be ending anytime soon. Do you think Trump is “obsessed” with Kelly? Do you think that she’s equally “obsessed” with him, or is she just doing her job? Sound off in the comments below.
