Jessica Simpson loves getting older: the ‘With You’ singer celebrated her 29th birthday on Friday (10.07.09) and while her planned Barbie party failed to happen, the blonde beauty is enjoying being one step closer to turning 30.
She wrote her Twitter page: “barbie party didn’t happen, but i turned 29 and feel like i am on top of the world yelling I LOVE GETTING OLDER (sic).”
Jessica – who is dating American footballer Tony Romo – had wanted a Barbie and Ken themed soiree in honour of the iconic doll and her long-term beau. She had even messaged Emmy Rossum on Twitter about the bash telling the actress: “can’t wait to see your costume on the 10th! birthday evite coming soon:) you are always the best dressed!!! (sic).”
However, the party never happened and Jessica celebrated her birthday with family and friends. Tony – who has been romancing Jessica since November 2007 – recently revealed their dream date is watching American football. When asked to describe his perfect date, Tony, who is the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, said: “A little bite to eat and probably watch a football game!”
