Emma Watson Talks 50 Shades Of Grey Rumor, Says She’s “Baffled”

Emma Watson 50 Shades Of Gray

Emma Watson to play Anastasia Steele in ’50 Shades of Grey’? That was the latest rumor out of Hollywood this week and not only is it false, Watson says she’s baffled about the rumor which places her inside of Christian Grey’s “Red Room of Pain.”

Watson sat down with Entertainment Weekly on Monday to discuss the 50 Shades rumors which have swept through Facebook, Twitter and the usual suspect tabloids.

When asked about the role “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” star revealed:

“I haven’t read the book, I haven’t a read a script, nothing. There are so many movies you become attached to when I’ve literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ – I never even saw a script!”

Apparently her friends were even buying into the rumors for a while because so many publications said she was going to play Anastasia:

“I told them just because there are 60 articles on the Internet doesn’t mean it’s any less true than if there are three or four. The thing is I’m not going to go out there every time someone attaches me to a film to say no or release a statement.”

Emma is already working on Darren Aronofsky’s movie “Noah” and she just finished wrapping on Sofia Coppola’s “The Bling Ring” plus she’s enrolled in college. Should she actually accept the role it will be interesting to see how Emma Watson balances an already incredibly tough schedule.

With top-notch directors already recruiting the young star to their movies she isn’t really in need of a “bad girl” image makeover following her Hermione Granger role in the Harry Potter films. I’m willing to place this rumor in the “highly unlikely” folder.

I think they are looking at the wrong actresses. They need someone that is unassumingly sexy, with the full lips, and sexy, alluring eyes. The star of Sucker Punch, Emily Browning, or Jennifer Lawrence from the Hunger Games fit the bill to a T! They stand out!

I'm glad Emma seems to have higher standards than to do this piece of crap. Ugh.
