David Foster Receives Praise From Wife Yolanda For Supporting Her Through Lyme Disease Battle On ‘RHOBH’

Yolanda and David Foster may have split at the end of 2015, but on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6, Yolanda appears quite hopeful about the future of their marriage. In a sneak peek at the March 22 episode of the show, Yolanda and David Foster are seen attended a Lyme disease gala in New York City, where Yolanda praises her husband for sticking by her throughout her battle.

After Yolanda’s oldest child, daughter Gigi Hadid, delivered a speech about the ongoing strength of her mother, Yolanda received an award and during her acceptance speech, she mentioned husband David Foster.

“Thank you to my courageous husband for making actions speak louder than words and standing by me during this painful and very unromantic journey,” Yolanda said, according to an Us Weekly report on March 17.

Meanwhile, on the episode prior, David Foster was seen admitting to having doubts that their marriage could get back to normal after Yolanda’s years-long battle with the illness. While chatting with a friend during the show, David Foster was told he and Yolanda would eventually be back on track, but in response, he informed the friend that he didn’t know if that was possible.

On the same episode, Yolanda appeared far more positive, and as she addressed guests in her New York suite, she turned to David Foster, and promised that after years of seemingly placing their marriage on the back burner to focus on her health, she would “make it up” to him.

Unfortunately, Yolanda never got that chance. In December 2015, she and David Foster announced they were ending their 4-year marriage.

Months after Yolanda and David’s divorce announcement, the reality star and mother of three spoke out in an interview, revealing that because of her Lyme disease diagnosis, she simply wasn’t the woman David Foster married anymore.

“The patient suffers, but the caretakers suffer too. Because life doesn’t only change for us, it changes for the person next to you,” Yolanda said on The Dr. Oz Show, via Us Weekly. “At the end of the day, [David Foster] never changed, I changed. Unfortunately, these are the cards that life dealt me. It wasn’t by choice. But I’m not the woman I used to be and I probably will never be again. My focus, my energy goes to trying to get well, trying to make a difference, trying to find a cure for my children … and David’s life is really traveling, going to concerts, loud music. And I mean, I couldn’t, I can barely listen to the radio.”

Since their breakup, David Foster, 66, has been linked to 43-year-old Selma Blair, whom he enjoyed a meal with earlier this month at West Hollywood hotspot Craig’s restaurant. According to an Us Weekly report at the time, the pair’s night out was “definitely a date.”

During the possible couple’s meal, they were ironically joined by Caitlyn Jenner, who has ties to both David Foster and Blair. Currently, Jenner’s ex-wife, Kris Jenner, is being played by Blair on FX’s The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, and years ago, David Foster’s ex-wife, Linda Thompson, was married to Jenner.

David Foster and Blair have remained silent in regard to their relationship status.
