Sarah Jones, a former cheerleader with the Cincinnati Bengals has shot back at bloggers who are labeling her the “female Jerry Sandusky” after she was charged with seducing and then sleeping with a former 17-year-old high school student.

Jones was arrested following an investigation from her time as a high school English teacher. Allegedly the former teacher slept with a student.

Speaking to ABC News the cheerleader says of the incident:

“I read on a blog that I was the female [Jerry] Sandusky,”  and “To read those things and not be able to comment, not be able to stick up for myself is not fair. “People don’t know the real me…There’s blogs and postings out there that I have slept with numerous people. I married my high school sweetheart. I just asked the general public to maybe hold their judgment a little bit longer until the truth comes out.”

Jones allegedly used her position of authority and the internet to seduce the student and then engage in illegal acts. Little else is known about Jones, the former Cincinnati Ben-Gals cheerleader captain.

Also involved in the case is mother Cheryl who prosecutors say tampered with key evidence. Both Sarah Jones and her mother have pled not guilty to all charges.

Speaking out to ABC News could end up coming back to bite her as a judge recently issued a gag order regarding all issues involving the lawsuit.

While the boys name has not been revealed the investigation allegedly began after his ex-girlfriend made comments about the inappropriate relationship. The scandal was revealed in November 2011 and Sarah Jones resigned from her position that very same month.

Jones spoke with Yahoo News and revealed, ”The hardest thing has been having not only me go through it, but to have my mom go through it with me. It’s almost kind of a guilty feeling that she is even involved in this because what has happened to her is not fair. My goal is for her charges to be dismissed.”

In the meantime the prosecution says it has text messages from Jones to the underage boy in which she tells him to “deny everything.” Other texts between the pair have been called “steamy.”

Jones has also issued a statement in which she says the boy was a student but “not my student” and  ”He was a family friend and I am very close to his parents. Had it not been for their support it would be very difficult to get through this without them.”
