Cynthia Bailey On Feds’ Visit For Apollo Nida’s Items, Says Phaedra Parks Didn’t Call Her

On The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 finale episode, it was revealed that federal authorities showed up to Todd Tucker and Kandi Burruss’ home to confiscate items that they had belonging to Phaedra Parks’ incarcerated husband, Apollo Nida. It was also revealed that the authorities went to Peter Thomas and Cynthia Bailey’s home as well to take items that they had belonging to Apollo. In her latest Bravo blog post, posted on Thursday, Cynthia talked about how it felt to have the feds show up at her door.

Cynthia admitted that she was shocked by the surprise visit. She revealed that what they had stored for Apollo was a car. She also explained that neither she nor Peter had any reason to refuse Apollo’s request, implying that neither she nor Peter were aware of Apollo’s crimes and impending legal troubles. Apollo began an eight-year sentence in federal prison for bank fraud and identity theft in September 2014.

“I think most people would be shocked if the FEDs turned up on their door step! When Peter was asked by Apollo several years ago to leave his car at our house for a couple of days, there was no cause for Peter not to agree. At that time, Peter and I were not aware of any reason why this action would later warrant a visit from the FEDs.”

On the season finale episode, Porsha Williams paid Phaedra a visit in her home. Porsha told Phaedra that she was sent a story that the feds showed up to Kandi’s home to take some of Apollo’s things. Porsha seemed positively shocked at the development. Yet Phaedra simply commented that it was “very interesting,” made some “hmmm” sounds, and said that she was out of town visiting Apollo in prison with their two young sons so she hadn’t heard the news.

Phaedra did seem a bit surprised when Porsha told her that the feds reportedly also showed up to Cynthia Bailey’s home. Phaedra implied that Peter deserved it.

“Well honey, he spent plenty of time in that bar with Peter, he spent more time over there than he did with his kids sometimes. Don’t make your bed unless you wanna lie in it honey. They were definitely bosom buddies so…”

When Porsha asked Phaedra that she hopes that Kandi, and presumably Cynthia, doesn’t think that it was she who tipped off the feds, Phaedra responded, “Child! Bye!” Phaedra then revealed that she still has resentment over the fact that Kandi had some of Apollo’s things in her home by saying that she wonders how Kandi would feel if she had some of Todd’s things in her home.

In her confessional interview, Phaedra said that Apollo owes the government a lot of money and restitution for his crimes, so it’s no surprise that they’re making house calls.

During her interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday night, Kandi Burruss didn’t rule out the possibility that it was Phaedra Parks who tipped off the feds. Kandi admitted that the feds’ visit came the same week that the Real Housewives episode in which she and Todd revealed that they had some of Apollo’s things aired, so the feds could have been tipped off by that. Kandi also said that the feds’ visit came around the same time that Phaedra got angry over something that Todd had tweeted about her.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, after Kandi’s Watch What Happens Live appearance, Phaedra, during an interview on Dish Nation with Porsha Williams, criticized Kandi for thinking that she tipped off the feds.

On Sunday, after her Watch What Happens Live appearance, Kandi also filmed a short segment with Bevy Smith. During that interview, Kandi explained that she and Todd didn’t have any reason to think that they were doing anything wrong by storing some of Apollo’s things, which was a motorbike and a car, for him. She said that they weren’t trying to hide anything from Phaedra or the feds. She revealed that Apollo never told them to not tell Phaedra what they were doing for him.

Kandi further explained that Apollo had a lot of vehicles all the time and he and Phaedra didn’t exactly have a big driveway so it didn’t strike them as odd that he asked them to keep some of his things for him.

The feds’ visits to Cynthia Bailey’s and Kandi Burruss’ homes and the question of whether Phaedra Parks had anything to do with it will likely be shown on the upcoming The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 reunion show. Kandi told Bevy Smith that Cynthia, during the reunion, said that Phaedra Parks never called her about having Apollo’s car at her home.
