Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen May Star On ‘Fuller House’? Candace Cameron Scolds Haters Who Don’t ‘Represent Jesus Well’

Since Fuller House got the news that it’s been renewed for a second season on Netflix, John Stamos has stepped up his campaign to persuade Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to star (or at least do a cameo) on the Full House spinoff, according to Fashion & Style.

And that’s caused fans to renew their hope that the Olsen twins will take on a role during Season 2. As suspense led up to the premiere of the first season of Fuller House, speculation persisted that at least one or both of the Olsen twins would do a cameo or guest star turn. However, although all of the other actors from the original Full House did participate, Mary-Kate and Ashley opted out of reprising their role of Michelle.

It took only a week of fans rushing to view Fuller House before Netflix issued the renewal news. Now that the second season has been confirmed, Stamos allegedly is seeking ways to get the Olsen twins to reunite with the cast on the reboot. Among the signs of his desire to pressure them: A social media posting from John that shared a throwback video. Stamos used the caption to show how much he hopes the Olsen twins will join the Fuller House cast.

“Say my name #StamosHomeMovies #Fullerhouse #MkAshley. #TBT,” posted John.

Mary-Kate and Ashley gave a variety of reasons for their decision to opt out of Season 1 of Fuller House. Although the girls enjoyed a long career as child actors, it’s been 12 years since Ashley accepted an acting role. In contrast, Mary-Kate appeared in Beastly, a 2011 movie.

In addition to giving their time away from the camera as one reason for their refusal to participate in the first season of Fuller House, the Olsen twins pointed to their busy schedule as designers for their decision to opt out of Season 1. That leaves fans still hoping that during Season 2, they will see Mary-Kate and Ashley return in the role of Michelle and reunite with D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin), and Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber).

However, as the Inquisitr reported, Ashley Olsen was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease and therefore took several years away from the spotlight, adding to the possible reasons for declining the Fuller House role. The condition allegedly took a toll on her health, forcing her to take some time to prioritize her well-being over her career.

While fans await to see if the Olsen twins might still star on Season 2 of Fuller House, one of the current actresses on the show is coping with a backlash from those who contend that the sexy scenes and innuendo in the reboot are a disappointment to those who had hoped for a family-friendly show.

That actress is Candace Cameron Bure, who recently responded to haters, reported Charisma News.

“@candacecbure this show was such a disappointment and so inappropriate for my kids who waited for weeks to watch this. So bummed,” complained one follower on social media.

Another fan contended that because of the content, her family won’t watch Fuller House together.

“Our family was very disappointed. We were looking forward to it, because we watch the reruns with my daughter every night. Needless to say, we won’t be watching it as a family.#fullerhouseletdown,” complained that individual.

“Seriously though! I am so sad! I thought @Candacecbure stands up for Christian values?!?! This makes me so sad,” chimed in another.

To respond to those haters, Candace took to social media and pleaded for a halt to the debates.

“If someone makes a rude or negative comment, ignore it! You’re feeding and driving the negativity. This is NOT productive or respectful conversation. And I’m talking to BOTH sides! It’s getting old and downright ugly. This does not represent Jesus well. Let’s encourage one another as well as take the debates to a private page. Please and thank you.”
