‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Season 6, Episode 14 ‘Twice As Far’ Proves That Comic Book Spoilers Can’t Be Trusted

For those who still believe that Negan will kill Glenn in the season 6 finale of The Walking Dead, think again. Just because it happened in the comic book does not mean it will happen in the AMC series as well. TWD will prove that again in the next episode airing this Sunday titled “Twice As Far.” In season 6, episode 14, someone is going to die but it’s definitely not the same person as in the comic books. Keep reading for spoilers for the next TWD episode and to find out who will get their send off in just a few more days.

In the comic books, right around this point in the story is when Dwight shoots Negan through the eye with a crossbow while Eugene watched. It looks like The Walking Dead series is going a different direction with this storyline and possibly even sparing Abraham by killing someone else instead. The Spoiling Dead Fans revealed that it will be Denise that gets shot through the eye with an arrow. The death of Alexandria’s surgeon will end the only same-sex relationship currently playing out on TWD. Denise and Tara recently became close, a move that always worries fans that their death is imminent. There is a possibility that Tara won’t live long enough to mourn Denise’s death anyway because it looks like she and Heath might become Negan’s victims soon too.

During “Twice As Far,” there will be two groups out looking for supplies. Abraham and Eugene are out looking for a place and supplies for Eugene to make more ammunition for their guns. It has been mentioned in the past that eventually, everyone will run out of bullets on The Walking Dead. Leave it to Eugene to solve that problem.

Denise, Rosita and Daryl are also out scavenging, according to the spoiler report for season 6, episode 14. That group is on the hunt for medicine, another scarce commodity in the post-apocalypse. It’s not clear where Robert Kirkman and the rest of the TWD execs are going with the death of Denise instead of Abraham.

Obviously, this death is proof that the comic books can only be used as a general guide for spoilers and not as the holy grail of what will happen on The Walking Dead. If we were following the exact comic book deaths then the crossbow through the eye death belongs to Abraham at the hands of Dwight, but ordered by Negan to get back at Rick. In any case, the crossbow through the eye death is happening but apparently Denise is getting it and Abraham is spared. Now we can only wonder if Abraham will take Glenn’s place in the finale when Negan makes his debut and kills someone with the barbed-wire-wrapped bat that he calls “Lucille.”

As for the rest of the spoilers for season 6, episode 14, Rick questions Morgan about the jail cell that he is building. Morgan still doesn’t say who he plans to put in it but reportedly tells Rick that the purpose is to give them more options than to kill someone. There’s still a good chance that Rick is going in it before this is all over.

The romance between Carol and Tobin is not over. Despite any perceived chemistry between Carol and Daryl last week, it looks like she’s chosen Tobin as her main squeeze. TSDF reported that there really was no good reason for Carol waiting on Tobin’s porch except to give him a quick kiss. So really, the reason for Carol doing that was to let viewers down easy. There was a pretty good fan following that pushed for a relationship between Carol and Daryl.

Denise gets hit with an arrow while scavenging with Daryl and Rosita. The group comes across Dwight and a group of Saviors, causing an argument between Daryl and Dwight because he stole Daryl’s crossbow and has been using it ever since. Daryl is said to give Dwight a fight for the crossbow and even wins it back according to spoiler reports. Unfortunately, the battle to get the crossbow back ends in Denise’s death.

In the comic books, this death happens to Abraham while he is guarding the perimeter of Alexandria with Eugene. That is why Sasha choosing to take another shift and leave Abraham working with Eugene had The Walking Dead fans worried that his death was getting set up.

What does this mean for the finale, where Negan is expected to kill Glenn by bashing in his skull with a wire wrapped bat named Lucille? We all know the scene is going to play out and someone is dying at Negan’s hand. Robert Kirkman has confirmed as much. Actually, Kirkman has gleefully proclaimed that it was Glenn who would get hit in the AMC series as well. That’s why fans think someone else, possibly Daryl, will die in the season 6 finale instead of Glenn. The death of Denise instead of Abraham proves that the comic books can’t be used as the actual spoiler for TWD. Another example would be when Tyreese died instead of Morgan recently. Not to mention that there isn’t even a baby Judith in the comic books because the baby died along with Lori in that storyline.
