Details On JoJo Fletcher’s First ‘Bachelorette’ Night Revealed, Juan Pablo Galavis Welcomed To Join

Filming for The Bachelorette Season 12, starring JoJo Fletcher, has already begun. On Wednesday night, the show’s creator and producer, Mike Fleiss, provided some details on what went down during JoJo’s first night as the Bachelorette. Mike also revealed that viewers may indeed see the return of one controversial figure to the mansion: The Bachelor Season 18 star Juan Pablo Galavis.

Not surprisingly, viewers will see some characters amongst the group of 25 men vying for JoJo’s heart. Mike tweeted that JoJo has a “wild group” of guys. Mike shared that while there are some great men, there are also some clingers who seem to be a little too into JoJo already.

Mike also revealed that the cast ate the usual BBQ chicken dinner fare.

As for what JoJo wore for her first introduction to the men, Mike hinted that she wore something revealing and tight that showed off her figure.

JoJo, as she was while competing for Ben Higgins on The Bachelor, was “fun and full of personality.”

Viewers may even see JoJo react to a contestant showing up in an unicorn costume or see her in an unicorn head again. On Ben’s season of The Bachelor, the Texas-based real estate developer emerged from the limo on night one with an unicorn mask on her head.

What viewers will definitely see is JoJo kissing at least one man on night one.

Mike summed up the first night as “fantastic” and declared that JoJo was “amazing.”

JoJo Fletcher was announced as the next Bachelorette during Ben Higgins’ live After the Final Rose special that aired on Monday night. During Ben’s season, he told both her and Lauren Bushnell that he loved them. On the season finale episode, Ben ultimately made the choice to send JoJo home to propose to Lauren instead. After Ben made his decision clear to JoJo, JoJo told him that he shouldn’t have told her that he loved her. During the car ride home, JoJo cried as she admitted that she felt blindsided. Yet, she also admitted that she couldn’t be mad at Ben and that when she saw him cry, she felt sad for him.

On the After the Final Rose special, JoJo was brought out onto the stage, where she spoke with Ben. Ben, as he did on the season finale, told JoJo that his feelings for Lauren were stronger. JoJo, who didn’t shed a tear, said that she understood Ben’s decision. JoJo also said that she moved on with her life.

Host Chris Harrison then announced that JoJo was going to be the next Bachelorette. The audience erupted in cheers and applause. Ben expressed his happiness that JoJo was picked. Later, during Ben and his new fiancée’s, Lauren Bushnell’s, joint appearance on stage, they said that they will definitely be watching JoJo’s season. The new season premieres on Monday, May 23.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Mike explained that they chose JoJo as the Bachelorette because that’s what the fans wanted. Prior to the official confirmation, it was reported that third runner-up, Caila Quinn, was going to be the Bachelorette.

ABC’s official introduction of JoJo as the Bachelorette teased that viewers will again see JoJo’s two brothers who made Ben’s hometown date so awkward and tense. When Ben was in their home, JoJo’s brothers, Ben and Martin, accused Ben of saying scripted lines and manipulating the women. They questioned how their sister could fall for Ben so hard so fast.

“Family means everything to JoJo. Two people who undoubtedly will make things challenging for JoJo and her journey to find love, will be her brothers Ben and Martin. Fans will remember the two were less than welcoming to Ben when JoJo brought him home to meet the family. They didn’t like that Ben wasn’t able to give his all to their sister and feared he would break her heart. How will they feel now that the shoe is on the other foot?”

After the announcement was made, one of the brothers, Ben, said that he’s happy for her and predicted that she’ll make a great Bachelorette.

Will viewers also see the return of Juan Pablo Galavis to The Bachelorette? Juan Pablo competed on Desiree Hartsock’s season before becoming the Bachelor, where he chose but didn’t propose to Nikki Ferrell. Their relationship ended shortly afterwards. After Juan Pablo tweeted that he may just have to return to the show to compete for JoJo, whom he described as “cute,” Mike Fleiss told him that the show would love to have him.

After a viewer told Juan Pablo Galavis that it’s hilarious that he thinks he’ll be welcomed back on the show after his controversial run as the Bachelor, he hinted that he has already turned down a prior opportunity to be on the franchise again.
