Erin Andrews Jimmy Kimmel Appearance: ‘DWTS’ Host Thanks Fans & Talks Mean Tweets [Video]

Last night, Jimmy Kimmel Live featured an appearance by Erin Andrews, where she not only thanked her fans for their recent support but also talked mean tweets that she has received.

In her first appearance since she was awarded $55 million in her nude video lawsuit, Erin looked amazing as she talked very cheerfully to Jimmy about her recent court drama. In true Kimmel fashion, he immediately asked Andrews if he could borrow a million dollars. Erin laughed it off, giving Jimmy the perfect coy response.

“I don’t have any money. I have not signed a new contract with Dancing, but my Fox contract is up.”

After their money talk, Erin Andrews used her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel to thank her fans for their support. Kimmel kicked off the interview by congratulating Erin on her big win and acknowledging that she could not really discuss details of the case. Andrews thanked the talk show host and then spoke out about how her fans have supported her.

“This is kind of my coming out of hiding, so thank you. Why would I not want to be here? I want to thank everybody. There have been so many people that have reached out from all over the world that, really, were so supportive.”

Despite Erin sharing that she has received a lot of support, Andrews also revealed that there have been some not-so-supportive people as well. As Jimmy talked to Erin about how thanks to her supporters she got to witness the nice part of the internet, Andrews was quick to mention mean tweets.

“Is there a nice part of the internet? Mean tweets, they are just a dime a dozen.”

Erin Andrews appearance on Jimmy Kimmel was all about her thanking her fans. Despite the mean tweets that she mentioned, Erin made it perfectly clear that she did receive a ton of support and she was grateful for that.

The New York Times reported last week that Andrews won her lawsuit against a Nashville hotel and Michael David Barnett. Back in 2008, Barnett secured a hotel room next to Erin and videotaped her naked without her knowledge or permission. Nude photos and video later popped up online, causing Andrews to take legal action against both parties. Although the trial focused on the video shot in Nashville, it was discovered that Barnett also filmed the DWTS host at a hotel in Columbus, Ohio.

A report by the Associated Press claims that the Nashville jury found that Michael David Barnett should pay Andrews 51 percent of the awarded money. Barnett is currently serving his two-and-a-half-year sentence for pleading guilty to stalking Erin, taking nude videos of her, and altering hotel room peepholes. West End Hotel Partners, which owns the Nashville hotel and Windsor Capital Group, the company that operated the hotel at the time, will pay the remaining 49 percent split between the two companies. There has yet to be an official word from either company regarding whether or not an appeal will happen.

It has been a difficult few weeks for Erin Andrews; her Jimmy Kimmel appearance was her first interview since the trial started. Even though. Despite all that Erin has been through recently, she came across very posed although a tad uncomfortable and nervous at times. Andrews put on a happy face with a lot of smiles as she chatted it up with Kimmel. Whether that was an act or for real, only Erin knows but she did a fantastic job. The entire interview was light-hearted. Kimmel did a great job of keeping the very tense topic not so serious.
