Shia LaBeouf Engaged To Longtime Girlfriend Mia Goth

Shia LaBeouf and his long-time, on-and-off girlfriend Mia Goth are reportedly engaged, according to a source for US Weekly.

As revealed by the source, LaBeouf, 29, and Goth, 22, were spotted by eyewitnesses buying groceries at Gelson’s earlier this month, and the Transformers star told the cashier that he and Mia were planning to get married. One eyewitness said that the British model was wearing a large diamond ring on her ring finger at the time.

This isn’t the first time Shia and Mia have become the focus of engagement rumors. In February, Shia referred to Mia as his fiancée during his live-streamed art performance #Elevate, in which the Fury star spent 24 hours riding an elevator.

The couple has been dating on-and-off since they met on the set of Nymphomaniac: Vol. II in 2012. Rumors about the pair getting engaged started in March of last year after Mia was spotted wearing a large sparkler ring on her engagement finger at the Miu Miu show at Paris Fashion Week.

The pair appeared to have parted ways, albeit temporarily, when a video shot in Germany showing LaBeouf threatening Goth made the rounds online. In the video, Shia was heard saying the words “I would’ve killed her” as locals drive him away from Mia.

“I don’t want to touch a woman, I don’t want to hit a woman, but I’m being pushed,” said Shia. He was speaking to a group of unidentified men who then drove him to the airport.

Before they drove off, LaBeouf confronted Mia on the street, saying “I don’t want to touch you. I don’t want to be aggressive. This is the kind of s—t that makes a person abusive.”

Weeks after the confrontation with Goth, Shia LaBeouf was spotted holding hands with American Honey co-star Sasha Lane. In September, the Daily Mail reported that the two had moved in together.

In October, a few days following his arrest for public intoxication in Austin, Shia was spotted holding hands with Mia Goth in Los Angeles, confirming that the two had started dating again.

Despite his rocky relationship with Mia Goth in the last couple of years, LaBeouf appears to be much happier following a disastrous 2014. That year saw Shia being reported multiple times for displaying bizarre behavior in public. In late 2013, the Nymphomaniac actor was embroiled in a plagiarism controversy when graphic novelist Daniel Clowes accused Shia of stealing ideas from his comic, Justin M. Damiano, for his short film, Howard Cantour.

The controversy took a bizarre turn when Shia LaBeouf apologized to the artist on January 1 by hiring a skywriter to display the words “I am sorry Daniel Clowes” in the skies over Los Angeles.

Given the grand manner with which Shia gave his apology, many deemed the gesture as insincere. And right on cue, LaBeouf published a barrage of apology tweets, which were later on discovered to be excerpts from apologies made by other celebs such as Tiger Woods, former New York governor Eliot Spitzer, artist Shepard Fairey, and a few others. Naturally, LaBeouf was criticized for plagiarizing again.

LaBeouf made headlines again when he attended the red carpet premiere of Nymphomaniac: Vol. I at the Berlin Film Festival wearing a paper bag over his head with the words “I Am Not Famous Anymore” written on it.

Before Mia Goth, Shia LaBeouf dated stylist Karolyn Pho for two years before their split in 2012. He also dated his Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps costar Carey Mulligan for a year before they called off their relationship in 2010.
