Just a few days ago The Inquisitr reported that the cast of Modern Family was at a stand-off with the studio. The cast, which included Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara didn’t return to work for their table read after their new contracts were not signed. The pay raise that the cast asked for was also in limbo, and the cast banded together and took their lawsuit to a California court under the “7 Year Rule.”

Now it’s reported that 20th Studio has come to an agreement with the cast of Modern Family after the cast failed to show up to work for a week, putting production behind for the new season.  The deal that Modern Family closed is substantial, giving Bowen, Vergara, Burrell, Ferguson, and Stonestreet a reported $65,000 per episode payday.

One source reported to The Hollywood Reporter that the cast will also be paid  between $170,00 and $175,000 per episode for the upcoming season, in addition to bonuses as well.  Agreeing to the new contracts 20th Century Fox, the actors were said to have dropped the lawsuit on Friday that was filed on July 24 over their current contracts being in violation of a California law that prohibits work exceeding 7 years.

The new contract allows the actors of Modern Family add a year to their existing 7 year contract. Speaking on behalf of Modern Family to The Hollywood Reporter was co-creator Steve Levitan, who said, “It’s no surprise, but I’m of course thrilled and I cannot wait to get on stage Monday morning and start making the show again.” Adding to those sentiments was co-creator Christopher Lloyd, “It was a distraction more than anything. And I think the cast feels the same way. It was never arduous. Now other people can go on with the numbers and we’ll go on with the letters.”
