Did Adam Levine’s Wife Behati Prinsloo Threaten Him With Divorce Before Pregnancy?

Adam Levine and his model wife, Behati Prinsloo, are currently expecting their first child together, but did the Voice coach only agree to start a family due to an “ultimatum” dealt by Prinsloo? A new report claims Adam Levine was threatened with divorce before his wife’s pregnancy was announced.

According to a report by Gossip Cop on March 16, Star claimed Adam Levine and Prinsloo were just days away from divorce after spending nearly two years fighting over their plans for a family when Adam Levine finally gave in to Prinsloo’s desires to start a family.

In July 2013, Adam Levine became engaged to Prinsloo just months after reconciling their relationship after a months-long split. Around the same time, Adam Levine allegedly promised the 26-year-old model that they would begin trying to get pregnant right away. However, when it came down to it, Adam Levine dragged his feet.

“Behati got more and more exasperated, and after months of bitter confrontations finally issued an ultimatum,” the magazine alleged. “She put her foot down and threatened to see a divorce attorney. She said she wasn’t waiting forever and if he didn’t want a baby, she was out the door.”

Since Adam Levine and Prinsloo tied the knot in July 2014, the couple has been plagued by ongoing divorce rumors from numerous outlets, but all the while, they remained united. So was it Prinsloo’s “ultimatum” that led Adam Levine to agree to start a family? Most definitely not!

According to Gossip Cop, Adam Levine and Prinsloo are having a baby now because they want to — and only because they want to.

In other Adam Levine news, the Voice coach has faced rumors regarding his potential exit from the series after Season 10.

“[Adam Levine’s] been there since the very beginning and feels like it’s time to move on,” an insider told Life & Style magazine, via a Hollywood Life report.

Adam Levine “wants to concentrate on his music and start a family with his wife.”

At the time of the report, Adam Levine’s wife’s pregnancy was not yet announced. However, days later, the news was confirmed to Us Weekly by multiple sources, who revealed the model was three to four months along. A second report, via E! News, claimed Adam Levine and Prinsloo already knew what they were having but didn’t reveal the gender of their baby.

While it may make sense to think that Adam Levine would quit the show due to his current long-distance relationship with wife Prinsloo, who lives full-time in New York City while he films The Voice in Los Angeles, an exit announcement has yet to be made. One source claims the Maroon 5 rocker has no real reason to leave the show, as his schedule is quite flexible.

“[Adam Levine] would stay with The Voice and will stay with The Voice even if he becomes a father,” an insider told Hollywood Life earlier this month. “The amount of time he would have to be away really wouldn’t be that much. He could easily do both. The Voice schedule would offer no neglect to family duties and he would be able to do it because The Voice would be accommodating to all of his needs. They would all be able to work out a proper schedule to make it all work out.”
