‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Does Leaked Song Played During Season 6 Finale Give Hints At Who Negan Kills?

The Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead is getting closer by the day, and with that comes the dreaded villain, Negan. Fans of TWD are excited for the arrival of the newest character, but what most don’t understand is just how barbaric the TWD villain really is. With Negan comes the death of at least one of the major characters, and a recently leaked song from the episode is giving fans some clues about who it will be.

Ever since Jeffrey Dean Morgan was announced as the actor playing Negan, fans have been trying to figure out who he will kill. Those who read the comic books know that Negan is pretty brutal, and ends up having Abraham killed for revenge on Rick. Not long after, the Saviors’ leader catches up to Rick’s group as they make their way to the Hilltop in a van, and gets revenge on them again.

That is the iconic scene from issue 100 of the comic books, where Negan brutally kills Glenn with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire that he calls Lucille. Pretty much any fan of The Walking Dead that has been searching for spoilers knows about Glenn’s comic book fate. While Robert Kirkman has confirmed that the graphic and shocking death will happen, we just don’t know yet if it’s happening to Glenn or if another member of Rick’s group will take the hit.

According to Uproxx, a new leaked song that will play during The Walking Dead Season 6 finale is giving some strong clues about who will die at the hands of Negan. The song is called “This Ain’t The End,” by Maya Lavelle. After listening to the lyrics and the style of song, it is very reminiscent of something that Beth might sing.

Now, we know that Beth died in Season 5 during the tragic mid-season finale, when Dawn shot her in the head. Beth is gone and won’t be coming back, but The Walking Dead fans believe that she might be making an appearance in the Season 6 finale when someone gets killed by Negan.

If that is the case, then it will definitely happen during a scene when Negan kills Daryl. TWD spoilers indicate that the final song might play out just after Daryl’s death as Beth comes to him and beckons him to follow her so they can be together in death. To further prove this theory, some have even claimed that Emily Kinney has been seen on set as The Walking Dead films the final episodes, and there is no other explanation as to why she would be there.

On the other hand, there is also an argument being made that the song playing at the end is actually pointing to Glenn’s death. The lyrics of the song say, “We are family,” and again later there is a lyric that says, “Our legacy will never die.” Is this talking about Maggie’s bond with Glenn and their baby that is on the way? That could also fit the haunting song that is said to be played at the end of The Walking Dead Season 6 finale.

An argument can be made, either way, that “This Ain’t The End” by Maya Lavelle fits for the death of Glenn or Daryl. While Uproxx reported these both, they didn’t pick one or the other as the reason for the sad song. As we get closer to the TWD finale, it is really looking like Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) will be getting hit with Lucille and will be exiting the AMC hit series. While that in itself isn’t a TWD spoiler per se, it is a very educated prediction based on the song, things Reedus himself has said, and the rest of the cast’s reaction when they found out what would happen on The Walking Dead Season 6 finale.

One thing is for sure, no matter how many spoilers and leaks pop up in the few weeks before the TWD finale, the cast and crew are doing all they can to make Negan’s horrific kill a shocker for everyone. While Lauren Cohan and Andrew Lincoln have both commented on their reaction to the finale episode, Norman Reedus and Stephen Yeun have remained rather quiet about it.

Listen to the song “This Ain’t The End” by Maya Lavelle above and tell the Inquisitr what you think is going to happen when Rick and his crew of survivors finally come face to face with Negan in The Walking Dead Season 6 finale.
